I mean, people shave faces legs arm pits, have hair cuts brush teeth etc

Don't get me wrong, I prefer a more natural look, either no makeup or minimal, say maybe mascara and lipgloss, but I don't slag people off who do like nails etc

People like different things. It's the way of the world.

Who goes on about this? I've never been aware of it.

But you do use 'slag off' as a phrase, proving that none of us is perfect.
