To not tell my son I lied to him?

And let him continue pretending to be poorly and see how far he goes?

I told him last night that he's back at school today. He has woken with a super bad fake cough, has complained about belly ache, his toe also hurts him.

I'm waiting to be told he has a broken leg Grin

How ill should I let him get before I let him know I was messing with him and he has weeks yet?

Little bugger Grin

He gave Up too early though

Doinmummy · 12/08/2016 11:01

It sounds as if you have a great relationship . Being able to laugh together and take a joke against yourself are massively important life lessons . Give me someone with a sense of humour over a joyless brainiac any day .

Cocolepew · 12/08/2016 11:03
Grin I have to admit I'm very impressed that he knows when he's going back by the length of his hair Star
DerekSprechenZeDick · 12/08/2016 11:08

When he can't see his patterns it means school back. His next hair cut will be the day before school starts.

He's learnt over the years Grin

Ive just been telling DD age 15 about this.
She says she knows when its the end of the summer by the length of my leg hair because I stop shaving them when Im going back to work and wearing jeans every day Hmm

stewart1 · 12/08/2016 17:24

Why would you want to spoil even one day of your child's precious childhood?

Jojofjo44 · 12/08/2016 17:30

Oh fgs has there been a sense of humour theft day or something.

SemiNormal · 12/08/2016 17:35

Why would you want to spoil even one day of your child's precious childhood? - Oh FFS!!!

OP My son and I play jokes on each other all the time. He tells me he's farted on my toothbrush and I tell him to behave or I'll poop in his pillowcase!! We have an amazing relationship and bond and I'm sure you and your son do too!

I think Stewart is being a bit of a naughty boy. School holidays are so boring but 10/10 for effort Grin

patterma shaved on his head. OP, it looks thuggish.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 12/08/2016 18:05

He is a thug. I'm training him to be one. First give him thick skin, next rob Home Bargains then maybe a gang war something.

All before he's 8

I wouldn't hate him Dixie, but let's face it, it's not exactly a look that most parents would probably hope their 21 year old goes for

HedgehogHedgehog · 12/08/2016 18:11

i think its quite funny and he might remember it as such. But you could be unlucky and he could turn out to be a really sensitive adult who hates you because of this!!!
My dad once told me when i was about 7 that we were going to see a special friend of his called Max and that id love him. I was so excited!!! We walked for ages and then we came to this car park.
He said 'see if you can see him... his name is Max Headroom'
yeah so.... it was the car park sign with max headroom written on it,
I wasnt best pleased.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 12/08/2016 18:12

If you read the thread you will see that there is no hate. He is intact more evil Grin
