To have just drank a whole bottle of Sauvignon Blanc before 5pm...

on a Wednesday?!

My kids are away, I've taken a couple of days annual leave to get over a gum infection rather than be off sick and I'm home alone. I just watched the whole second series of Happy Valley, did no housework at all and drank a bottle of wine.

Is that bad?

Slightly off topic but I bought a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from Home Bargains today for £3.99. classy me

If it is as nice as my usual I will be stocking up! I am very much looking forward to my experiment later.

Fishcake72 · 10/08/2016 17:39

Sounds like heaven!

Kalopsia77 · 10/08/2016 17:39

Hope I'm mortified, I'm usually such a stickler for the grammar

I blame the Sauvignon. And I'm already fat so fuck it. But thanks for the help Grin

Honestly? Yes, that's a lot in one go (regardless of the time of day).

Kalopsia77 · 10/08/2016 17:42

It is a lot. I debating whether to pull on my judgeypants or just enjoy it. I think I'm going to just enjoy it

Why don't you round off the day by watching Grantchester? If you like James Norton the sight of him as a hot vicar will not disappoint. Wine

Kalopsia77 · 10/08/2016 17:44

Luleene I'm looking for it right now, cheers for the heads up Grin

Sounds like a great afternoon!

ImperialBlether · 10/08/2016 17:51

But... I like a drink as much as the next Mumsnetter, but are you really going to drink two bottles of wine?

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 10/08/2016 17:51

my idea of heaven.

RattataPidgeyRattataPidgey · 10/08/2016 17:52

Only if it's not from Malborough

This person knows.

Kalopsia77 · 10/08/2016 17:55

I might share the second. Either way I will be in bed by 8pm so I can pretend to be a normal human at work tomorrow Smile

JinkxMonsoon · 10/08/2016 17:55

I would be shitfaced after a whole bottle and would be very ill in the morning, but am jealous nevertheless. Treat yo' self Grin

VerbenaGirl · 10/08/2016 17:58

Entirely reasonable! Everyone deserves an indulgent day every once in a while. Enjoy the second bottle :-)

Lilaclily · 10/08/2016 18:01

Lol enjoy it op !
I too would be seriously ill tomorrow!

GarlicMistake · 10/08/2016 18:05

If you haven't got to get up and save the world at 6am, you're fully entitled to snarf the Cava as well Wine Plus, you've started so early you'll probably be asleep by ten with a good meal inside you. Looks like an all-round win to me Grin

Remember the bedtime water!

x2boys · 10/08/2016 18:07

Couple of paracetamol and a pint of water before bed to avoid the wine hangover enjoy Wine cheers

GarlicMistake · 10/08/2016 18:07

In fact, I think I'll shelve my 'constructive' plans for the evening in favour of some vodka and an early night. You're an inspiration, OP - of sorts Wink

BabyGanoush · 10/08/2016 18:09

Just have a hot choc and early bed, so you won't feel awful tomorrow

TheHuntingOfTheSarky · 10/08/2016 18:10

Under those circumstances, I think you'd be unreasonable not to.

Crack on. Work away. Enjoy!

MalbecAndLindt · 10/08/2016 18:10

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and can't drink so have a few glass for me. Cheers and enjoy!Wine

Jaimx86 · 10/08/2016 18:11

Lurlene - what's it called!? My mum loves Sauvignon and B&M - she'll pop in on her lunch tomorrow if I tell her.

Dandelion6565 · 10/08/2016 18:11

It's fine but you be asleep at 8!!

Queenbean · 10/08/2016 18:11

Sounds bloody amazing. I love binge watching stuff.

I love binge drinking stuff.

I'll only drink sauv blanc if it is Marlborough. Otherwise it's all horrible and too yellow.
