To think family vloggers should not film their toddler's poo?

I remember last year there was a thread about the Saccone Jolys filming their two year old daughter on the toilet. Their vlog tonight contains a long story and spectacle about their two year old pooing supposedly in his father's hand and then later the poo turning up under the bed. Let's not even go there about the dubious story. Said poo was even filmed.

Am I missing something here? This little boy has no say in being filmed every day and now he has an embarrassing moment on the Internet forever. This blatant disregard for their own children's dignity makes me sick, tbh. However, commenters on the video (who are admittedly mostly kids) are saying that he will probably find it funny when he's older. Am I overreacting here?

I understand things like first steps, singing and nice things like that but why film potty training and share it with the Internet?

I'd hate for stories to be told about me pooing online, let alone my poo being shown.

I posted a photo of Dd with her completed sticker chart when she was potty trained...but there's no photos of her on the toilet or holding poo.

But then again my nan has a photo of me on the toilet and one of me being held by mum squatting and having a wee. So it's not exactly a new thing. Just easier to distribute

ABloodyDifficultWoman, I started a thread last week to alert parents that teen viewers were sharing their details on adult chat sites.

This thread, I suppose, is about family vloggers in general with them as an example. I think family vloggers should not exploit or over share about their children.

I have no agenda as such, but I do think these people are planks, as stated above!

Need That's fine. Posting a child sitting on the toilet on a medium that you know will reach thousands and thousands of others, is totally not fine.

Yes, me too. I think people live vicariously through them and see it is a sort of "real life soap opera". Which is a bit sick, when you think about it.

They've chosen to put their lives out there and it's up to them what they choose to document. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

I think it's fine for those parents to decide what is appropriate to put online about themselves or their children.

It doesn't matter what you do, someone always has an opinion on it. So, as I said before, if you don't agree with what they share then don't watch it. Put in a complaint to their management or YouTube if you must - see how far you get.

Anyway, the OP didn't answer my question about how she came to see the video in the first place? The very fact that you've shared it for others to see means they've likely raked in a few thousand from extra viewers.

I was being called a troll.

And I came across the video as other parents were talking about it, the same as the last one I spoke on here about.

Yes, it gives them more views and I am not happy about that. But their content is open for discussion, same as anything published online.

Considering the SacconeJolys seem to have a big following on Twitter, probably from there... The video got retweeted onto my timeline, didn't click on it though.

I like family vloggers but there should be a limit on what they film and what they don't...
