AIBU to go to Orlando on holiday for 3 weeks!

We went last year fur just under 2 weeks and missed so much stuff cos we just didn't have time. We had planned to not have a holiday this year as we were decorating the house, but wanted to go back to Florida next year. I want to go for 3 weeks. We can afford it, it would allow us to actually enjoy it without rushing so much and we would deserve an amazing holiday since we had nothing this year. Would it be crazy to go for 3,weeks? Have u or anyone u know done it? Hubby says no. It would be the two of us, plus our son who will 12.

I have done 3 weeks, 2 weeks and in October we are going for 1 week to do the 2 new rides that opened since we were last year.

If you can afford it and enjoy it then go.

Go for it. If you are staying in a villa to be honest the costs won't be much more. Disney does 21 day tickets too

Loads of people have been for 3 weeks (or more).

I would bear in mind if you are planning on spending a lot of time in the Disney parks that, at 12, your DS may well feel he is too old.

Should say our 3 week was split 3 days in Tampa, 4 on international drive to do Universal and then the rest of the time (2 weeks) at a Disney hotel. I don't think you will ever manage to see everything no matter how long you go for. One day we went into magic Kingdom at 9am and left at 2am lol even then we went back another day to Magic Kingdom.

Went for 2 weeks last year. One week in Orlando and one in Clearwater. I wanted to stay another week, so depressed the day we were leaving. Go for it, you'll have a ball.

Won't you just want yo do things you didn't have time for on your last visit? I'm not sure why it'll take longer than the original trip to 'fill in the gaps'. However, if you can afford it and want to go, then go.

We have done 3 weeks before, usually do 2.

You will probably need more rest days and still miss some stuff. But definitely worth it

We just did 2 and all we've really done is Disney. Each park takes about 2 days to full explore now and There's a lot more round here than Disney. Universal studios takes a good 3 days. Sea world is apparently a couple as well but I won't give those bastards my money personally. There's also Kennedy space centre as well as lots of other beautiful places to explore within a couple of hours drive.

We are here for a month in total but have done 12 days in Orlando. We drove down from jfk via friends house and are going back up via other friends then spending the last week in Long Island with dhs best friend.

It's been amazing but tbh Orlando is only a small part. I'd encourage some
Exploration if you do 3 weeks.

I've only ever done 2 weeks but would love to go for 3. Unfortunately work will only allow more than 2 weeks under special circumstances.

I was in Orlando for 3 weeks in October last year, a week in Feb this year and I'm currently on day 8 of this years 3 week holiday right now.

My husband and I come as a couple with no kids ( though I'm currently pregnant) and we're here with family this time- they are here for 4 weeks with a 13 and 11 year old.

Our kids are Small so can't hack the walking Disney involves everyday we will have done 8 days in the parks, 1 in typhoon lagoon water park and we did one at Disney quest but that was a let down tbh and we left after an hour or two.

If you do tickets before you go you get 2 waterparks, access to the 2 crazy golf courses and access to Disney quest included. It also includes photo pass right now which I have loved as we have digital copies of ride photos , character photos and family pics of us all over the parks all for free.

We're going for three weeks in July 2017. Have been before, also for three weeks. Flights are the same whether you are staying for 7 nights or 21. Theme park tickets are only marginally more for longer stays - and it doesn't mean you're there from dawn to dusk 3 weeks straight, it just gives you more freedom to dip in and out, spend a couple of hours at a water park and not feel you have to cram it all in. And yes, it gives time to see other parts of the country. Last time we saw a rocket launch at NASA and went on an air boat ride at dusk. This time I'm pricing flights to take DD to see a friend of mine who lives in Texas for a couple of nights.

Do you all just take your kids out of school for 2 weeks in October? I would love to go for this long but our schools are strict.

Yes, I will be taking my son out of school for it. We are in Scotland so no fines here, and I will be taking work with us (horrid mum making a child do school work on Orlando!!)

There is so much to do there, and you can't really do a park everyday, you need a break as its so damn tiring, all the walking. The park tickets are for 2 weeks, so we will start the parks maybe half way through the first week, so we can have rest days inbetween. It's about £5k for three weeks, villa, car hire, and flights with James villas. Will need to work my magic on hubby and name him see sense!

The person who mentioned the dibb, I love that site, but I couldn't see anyone who went for 3 weeks which was why I wasn't sure if its was a done thing or not.

We did three weeks last year, I want to go again. Dh is less keen.....so tiring to ink about how I could take hate kids for three weeks. Just me and them....umm.

I'm flying out for 3 weeks next week, can't bloody wait!!

Ooh, curly, I don't know that I would survive just me and my son, couldn't imagine more than one kid! Good on you if you can though xx

Currently on week one of three in Orlando. Have got a town house which gives greater flexibility. We have a 21 day Disney pass and 14 day Universal plus are going to Kennedy too. The three weeks means we can have time to relax too.

Plenty of Brits do three weeks if they can afford it

DH and I do one week every year so more than two weeks would be too much for us (we hit the ground running and really max our time there as the time difference doesn't affect us anymore).

We are doing two weeks with the kids next year and I can't wait. We've split the hotels as 10 nights Disney, 4 days Universal. For an extra week we'd probably be in a villa for some chill out time!

Oh don't make him do school work on holiday, it's a holiday. I wouldn't want to work when I'm supposed to be relaxing on holiday.
