People are saying that it will cause her a lifetime of mystery. Can I do it? I just prefer it spelt like the colour.

Not at all.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 07/08/2016 22:16

It's ok by me , do it.

cardibach · 07/08/2016 22:18

Id always assume Scarlet was with one t. Two seems unnecessary to me, so don't assume everyone will want to give Her Twitter!

Planty18 · 07/08/2016 22:18

I have a daughter called Scarlett and loads of people spell it Scarlet, even her grandparents and some very close friends so I would say go for it. You can spell it either way, I don't know why people would say it would cause problems. Good name choice by the way Wink

Twitter? Two. I definitely typed two.

Yika · 07/08/2016 22:19

It's fine with one t or two. Nice name.

Great! Thank you

No.

Like Lily with two L's. Lilly. Wrong.

KittensForBreakfast · 07/08/2016 23:49

Does it even matter?

Iamdueanewusername · 07/08/2016 23:51

I'm here hoping it's a boy, as then there won't be this worry! Seems like it wouldn't be an issue though, thanks Smile

My daughter's middle name is Scarlett. It appeared to be the more common spelling when she was born.
You know how middle names are only ever important when you're choosing them? Then they become a bit pointless?

The other day I was writing it in an official letter and had to get her passport out to check how I'd doley it. Her own mother! The shame 😂
