VanillaSugar gave me the honour of continuing this into the third thread, since she's busy cooking meth and probably won't even appear on this although like the previous two nobody will respond. Grin

How fast can we fill this one?

Pics of our virtual boyfriends, random facts, bad puns all welcome! No need to keep up with us, nobody ever can Wink

In the words of toadgirl - "Life is a smorgasbord. There should be all kinds of threads for all kinds of people and moods. Why not?"

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 14:39

I think your explanations, while very plausible, are being far too kind to the management of BHS. this, of course is personal opinion only

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 14:44

But why a deadline, toad? Why not let it meander on at its own comfortable pace? We'll get to 1000 when we're ready. The last thread was a frantic sprint - why not let this one be a lovely, pleasant jog round the park?

MrsTerryPratchett · 08/08/2016 14:46

I'm up! I don't want to be but I am.

I see that there was talk of someone stealing Richard. No thanks. My long-time 'boyfriend' Jeremy Paxman turned out to be a Tory so I'm not having anything happen to Richard. Just because Portia is collecting dwarves.

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 14:47

I'm sure Portia could think of another comparison but it wouldn't be decent so we won't ask her.

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 14:49

Yes, I do believe you're correct.

Thank you, Better, for being the voice of sanity around here. I get a little carried away sometimes. I woke far too early this morning and feel a bit burned out from yesterday. Silly to even attempt a repeat performance of Thread 2. I suppose each thread will have it's own personality.

Thread 1 - was the complete unknown, with no expectations whatsoever.

Thread 2 - had our keyboards aflame with constant posting.

Thread 3 - will have the confidence to know that it will happen (after all, it is the third attempt), but in a mature and reasonable way.

Yes, I like this plan.

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 14:51

Great!

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 14:52

But are you confident of RA's political predilections, Mrs TP? Are you sure he wouldn't disappoint you too?

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 14:56

I'm thinking of the health of everyone's heart, toad! Plus, we're saying goodbye to everyone on too regular a basis. Grin

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 14:59

Quite right, Better

I need to look after my ticker.

Just glad I'm not an octopus Shock

The goodbyes - yes, we were rather overdoing it, weren't we?

What we need is tea and cucumber sandwiches in a restful Jane Austen-style parlour. One where we can discuss the events of our lives in a restful manner more befitting our status as older and wiser women.

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 15:04

I'm also concerned about RSI in our fingers. Grin

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 15:06

True!

I think I felt some synapses in my brain popping yesterday.

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 15:08

Grin at "popping synapses"

However, I predict that this thread will fill up within three days...

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 15:10

Three days....of course....!

It's all predetermined isn't it? So we don't even have to try. Just sit back and watch it all unfold towards its destiny.

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 15:31

Mind you, it could be three weeks.

Or three months. Grin

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 15:33

Or it could take till 2019...

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 15:35

If it is, we'll get a move on then.

MrsTerryPratchett · 08/08/2016 15:37

RA was a mill owner so he might have dodgy politics. Hmmm.

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 15:47

Exactly - you don't want to get your hopes up! Life is full of rude surprises. Look at poor Noone who almost got married on the last thread.
