VanillaSugar gave me the honour of continuing this into the third thread, since she's busy cooking meth and probably won't even appear on this although like the previous two nobody will respond. Grin

How fast can we fill this one?

Pics of our virtual boyfriends, random facts, bad puns all welcome! No need to keep up with us, nobody ever can Wink

In the words of toadgirl - "Life is a smorgasbord. There should be all kinds of threads for all kinds of people and moods. Why not?"

Did you hear about the shrimp that went to the prawn’s cocktail party?
He pulled a mussel.

VanillaSugar · 08/08/2016 11:27

Sorry about that. And no toadgirl I don't remember that at all but Pieter Strewel Scissor Hands gave me terrible nightmares.

Going out myself now, to give out a thousand, NAY, two thousand loo brushes as a mark of respect for these threads. Just off to Poundland....

Noonesfool · 08/08/2016 11:27

I haven't even made it to the cafe. I'm in my PJs on here working.

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 11:31

TwoLittleBlooms - it's a pity you missed the second thread as Noone almost got married and we were all almost bridesmaids. We had it all planned and I had ordered the pickled quails' eggs and then, unaccountably, it didn't happen. Don't mention it to Noone, though, as she's still pretty upset. so am I, I didn't get to wear my bridesmaid dress

You poor thing. I am easily inclined towards nightmares, even now. I won't watch horror films for that reason.

Murun Buchanstangur wasn't scary though. More a depressive wee fellow. He lived in a crack in the cupboard under the sink in someone's kitchen.

It's a gloomy little five-minute cartoon Channel 4 used to show late at night in the 1980s. I used to watch it if I was about. Never forgot about it. Then I found several on youTube. Murun was a wistful chap who had many deep thoughts about life.

Would love to get all 52 episodes that were made, but sadly I think they are gone forever as Ch4 didn't keep them, apparently. Perhaps someone taped the lot of the telly. I can always hope!

Oh my! You are a wonder!

Bet the cashier in Poundland won't be able to meet your eye though at the checkout. Fnarr! Fnarr! Grin

Poor noonesfool

  • lot OFF the telly - I should have said!
Noonesfool · 08/08/2016 11:36

Err, what do you mean toad? A relationship I was never in?

Just because I hadn't met him or anything doesn't mean it wasn't real.

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 11:36

Don't worry, Noone, no-one (including you) has found this cafe yet - I'm beginning to suspect it may be the Brigadoon branch.

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 11:37

Sorry, Noonesfool that was VERY insensitive of me.

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 11:37

I wasn't minimising your relationship, honestly.

I really feel for you.

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 11:38

Just because I hadn't met him or anything doesn't mean it wasn't real

Sometimes, the breakup of these relationships can be the most hurtful of all Sad

Noonesfool · 08/08/2016 11:39

Thank you toad, it's ok. I realise it's difficult for others to understand how real my entirely made up nearly marriage to the lying scumbag Idris is.

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 11:40

I also hope AGL gets his hair sorted and eats properly today.

Nobody can find their way to the cafe.

Noonesfool has had her heart broken.

We can't be bridesmaids any more.

So much pain on this thread.

We all need a hug.

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 11:41

Yes, that's just it.

Because of the circumstances of your near-marriage (i.e. the fact that it all happened in your mind), you get cheated out of the sympathy that is actually your due.

A double betrayal, almost Sad

Noonesfool · 08/08/2016 11:41

Maybe Portia could get married?

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 11:42

No-one ever responding to this thread either is hurtful.

toadgirl · 08/08/2016 11:43

Hugs for all.

She and AT are going great guns. I think it could be imminent?

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 11:44

Sorry, Noone, I shouldn't have mentioned it. I just wanted to give a heads' up to new posters joining this thread so that they could avoid any mention of nuptials or associated preparations, especially beach weddings with multiple bridesmaids.

Noonesfool · 08/08/2016 11:45

Yes, toad the non response on three separate threads is hurtful.

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/08/2016 11:45

But now the subject is closed for ever.

Noonesfool · 08/08/2016 11:46

Yes, better, I can see that your intentions were good.
After all, who doesn't accidentally talk about imagined real nearly weddings on beaches with rainbow hued bridesmaids?
