I was going for bright blue, I naturally have dark brown hair..

You can't get bright blue on dark hair without bleach and a real hairdresser. Or hair chalk or something but that's not permanent.

Many years of purple, pink, green and black here! Now very boring blonde.

Bleach will get you a note centre bright result but it will kill your hair.

I'm rocking tangerine hair at the moment.
