On a Sunday!

So finally (after 9 months)
My potentially dangerous hot point dryer fix appointment was brought forward on Friday to Today... A Sunday. Between 07.15 and 09.15

It's fucking unreasonable that I got up at 06.30 to at least look semi alive for them not to be here at 07.15 on the dot isn't it. ISNT IT??

I've already had two cups of tea... 😭

No sign so far

iklboo · 07/08/2016 08:14

They'll turn up at 9:14:59

ProfessorPreciseaBug · 07/08/2016 08:16

I agree... having said that I woke up hours ago and couldn't get back to sleep... Always goes like that.

Crunchymum · 07/08/2016 08:21

I'd have set my alarm for 7.12 and the repair man would have just had to deal with me in my freshly awakend state Grin

fastdaytears · 07/08/2016 08:23

Why did you need 45 minutes to prepare? That's way more effort than I would have made!

ConfuciousSaysWhat · 07/08/2016 08:23

We feel your pain. We have a delivery due today any time between 7 and 7 having been rescheduled from last week. Dh took the early shift...but made sure I knew he wasn't happy about it so ive also been up since 630 on a Sunday and I'm not a happy bunny

Funko · 07/08/2016 08:29

Mogloveseggs. Absolutely no word of a lie that is exactly what happened!!!

Fortunately the 10yr old had got up so primed him to open the door. Then left the poor chap standing in the porch whilst he plonked himself back down on the sofa with iPad FFS. Grin

Fastday, cos I was a lazy cow yesterday and I needed to tidy kitchen and pretend I'm not a slovenly mess.

Also need at least a cup of tea and a mumsnet session before I can reasonably face other human beings.

My clothes are unironed and my unruly curly frizz hair shoved up in a clip looking like I slept in a hedge... I didn't make that much effort!

9:14 is when they will call you to say hey have been delayed. 7:15 was when they signed on and put he kettle on, but they then had to load the van with tools and repair drive 180 miles to get to you.

Funko · 07/08/2016 09:05

😄

He's now done and gone. 31 mins,

I was clearly bvu!

I can return to being a slob for the rest of the day

I think it is unreasonable for the person who had to come to work on a Sunday. He's not working in a hospital or driving a bus or train, and so his employer should have enough trained staff so that weekend appointments are for genuine emergencies only that cannot wait until Monday.

ConfuciousSaysWhat · 07/08/2016 09:24

What time are we going for our delivery that still hasn't arrived?

Funko · 07/08/2016 09:41

Confucius ... Not early enough to warrant getting up at 6.30 and late enough so that you have nothing left of the day worth doing anything with 😄

I'm now munching bacon and egg butties so today isn't all bad !
