am looking to revamp bathroom and loo, looking at towels and bath mat, but loo mats and seat covers, just don't get why people have them, being a bit of a loo snob aren't I ?Grin i mean you would never feel they were really clean [well i wouldn't], forever washing them

They remind me of my granny. She had a pink one and an orange one when pink was in the wash

StarryIllusion · 06/08/2016 15:10

They're as clean as any other mat. Unless you regularly miss the toilet or piss straight up in the air, in which case they are the least of your worries.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 06/08/2016 15:12

We don't have any mats in our bathroom, I don't like them.

Yanbu. Wee splash collectors.

I only put the shower mat out when someone has had a shower.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 06/08/2016 15:19

We just throw a towel down on the floor when someone showers.

it's the pedestal mats that get me, i'd be a bit .. over splashes, ex fil had a real problem with aim and their loo was very dodgy as a result.

We used to have a full on carpet in the bathroom when I was little. A pink carpet, with peach coloured toilet/bath/sink Shock

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 06/08/2016 15:39

My cats would sleep on them.

KoalaDownUnder · 06/08/2016 15:44

YANBU. Yuck. I haven't seen a pedestal
mat or loo seat cover for about 20 years, mind you!

Freshprincess · 06/08/2016 15:45

I have them. I call them wee mats rather than pedestal mats though. They go in the wash every other day.

I have two boys who miss often. if it was just me I wouldn't bother.

KoalaDownUnder · 06/08/2016 15:47

Wouldn't it be easier to just wipe up the wee, though, than to wash a mat every 2 days?

BluePitchFork · 06/08/2016 15:48

yabu.
they are wee splash collectors and go in the wash regularly.
easier than replacing floorboards regularly because they stink if wee.
