I think this is my first AIBU, but I have been here for yonks.
We're on holiday - self catering uk - got here about 4.30 pm. Took the DC to playground whilst DH went to CoOp to get pizzas for dinner. I veggie, I have been veggie for the best part of 30 years, and certainly for the whole time I have known DH.
We get CoOp pizzas a couple of times a month at home, have done for years. I always have Margerita, and sometimes add mushrooms and olives. If on occasion I come across a spinach pizza, I'll have that.
DH gave me what appeared to be a spinach and mushroom pizza. Fair enough, co-op change their toppings from time to time. Except it tasted rank, and turned out it was a chicken curry chicken with the chicken picked off, and mushrooms and olives added. Aside from the whole "chicken picked off so it must be veggie" issue , in my opinion 1- there is no place for curry on a pizza and 2- there is no place for olives in a curry and 3- how the heck did it ever get through taste testing?????
I continued to eat it because I was ravenous (been travelling since 9.30 am) but gave a lot of it to DD (4 yo gannet!). Didn't finish it. Still hungry. Can't go and get different food as have had wine. Tesco order coming tommorow.
AIBU to be a bit miffed that DH could have just rung me, and got something palatable (pasta...?) instead? And all those calories wasted eating something really quite yucky.
I must have eaten 1000 pizzas with DH and 999 of them have been margarita with olives/spinach/mushroom. I have even joked (negatively) about curry pizzas, along the lines of "if I wanted a curry, I'd get a curry...". What on earth possessed him?
