To want to throw this pan out of the window

Recently bought a stainless steel pan, tried cooking on said pan, repeatedly. Keep burning shit. Repeatedly.
Help me understand what i do wrong or out it goes. Please.

Plus it's a bitch to clean.

Soak it for half an hour with washing powder, not liquid. Then launch it out the window Grin

I've got one that does the same. I put a small amount of washing powder in with some water and boil it. The burnt stuff boils off! When I've figured out how to stop it burning in the first place I'll be back!

I was so happy when I bought it, thought i had cracked it! Found the perfect pan (and in our family for some reason buying pans is a sport) because professional chefs only use stainless steel, no harmful chemicals, not too expensive! All i had to do was learn to cook like a professional chef, how hard can it be!

Fuck that! Give me back a the tefal shit, I suppose we 'll die a painful slow death then since I can't make it work

I refuse to buy metal pans purely for this reason!

I like my non-stick pans. They allow me to cook without burning anything

Dishwasher tablet, water, low light.

JontyDoggle37 · 05/08/2016 19:04

Chefs don't burn stuff because they put three tons of oil/butter in everything. If you try to cook like a person who doesn't want a heart stack those pans just burn stuff. I am still on the quest for the perfect pan, as the non stick always dies even with silicon spatulas and hand washing only Hmm

I cook with stainless steel pans. When I changed to them from non stick I found it took a little getting used to. You don't need to keep the heat on so high, ime.

You can use the washing powder/soda on stainless steel but not aluminium (guess how I know this - threw out the blackened pan) and you can also use cola.

Is it a frying pan ?
