but doesn't know it. A towel was dropped on the bedroom floor 2 days ago. It's still there. I've entered him into the challenge to see when it gets picked up, but not told him. AIBU?

I'm so sorry to break the solidarity on here but I'm the wife and I'm the one who leaves my clothes on and around the dirty laundry basket!Blush
It absolutely does dh's head in but I just forget to put them in the basket.

I don't understand how anyone can't understand that dirty laundry goes in the linen bin. Man, woman, child it's simple.

i'm the DH in this scenario, difference is, its also my 'job' to do the housework, so if ive dumped something somewhere, its with the intention of doing it myself later.

It pisses me off when DH decided to get all Martyrish and moves it and starts moaning about me having left it there and how he's always tidying up after me.

I didn't ask him to, i didn't want him to, i will do it when i get to it.

He's got some weird ideas any way.

Apparently leaving the damp towel from my hair hanging on the hoover handle will cause the unplugged, switched off hoover to blow up... Hmm I didn't know slightly damp towels were prone to spontaneous combustion.

I had one of these with my OH, about washing up. After 2 weeks I cracked, he would wash up only exactly what he needed (1 plate, 1 glass etc) but nothing more. It's ridiculous.

Wixi · 03/08/2016 09:27

I had one of these with my hubby over the washing up, when we ran out of crockery he bought me a dishwasher :-)

It is over. He had an early swim and came in the bedroom holding said shorts and t-shirt, sounding very pleased with himself, saying ' I was wondering where these were - found them by the pool'. Hmm

I have no sense of victory.

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 03/08/2016 10:11

I've stepped mine up a notch. After the socks he left in the kitchen moved but the pants in the bathroom didn't (4 days so far) I've taken to now leaving any rubbish he leaves sitting where he left it. I'm about to hoover the front room/sofa and put back the empty ice cream wrapper and stick from last night on the sofa.
We are both stubborn as mules. This could take some time.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 03/08/2016 11:38

Lulu did he think you had put them there? Grin

LuluJakey1 · 03/08/2016 20:37

youcant He didn't say and I didn't ask. I don't think so. It is just beyond me how he has been out there the last 4 days and only noticed them this morning. We are talking about a small cottage with a smallish pool. Just us. There are 2 sun loungers. He was sitting right next to them on Monday. And why, when he claims he was wondering where they were, didn't he think to look there? It isn't like there are many places they could be. Smile

LuluJakey1 · 04/08/2016 01:58

Brakfast that should have said . Sorry!

LuluJakey1 · 04/08/2016 01:59

Or even Breakfast Grr!

seahorse106 · 04/08/2016 02:14

This is exactly why I love living on my own 😀

OlennasWimple · 04/08/2016 02:18

DH has left a pair of pants on the floor for two days now - I might just leave them there and see who cracks first me because we have guests coming next week

Goingtobeawesome · 04/08/2016 16:11

DH for oft and picked up DS's pants but I've ignored the towels on the bathroom floor and the one casualty laid over the bath side and I've found it strangely liberating. I bring a lot of extra stress on myself it seems.

Mrs Morbius is cool about your laundry habits? She's been dead a while, has she?
