Wrist tattoos with your name...

AIBU to think that having a wrist tattoo with your own name/initials is pretty pointless? Why? Is it incase you forget who you are? Genuinely confused by these.

I once met a girl in a bar who had had her own name tattooed on her wrist. She had the same name as me, albeit with a different spelling. When she was showing me that tattoo I commented on how we had the same name spelt differently and she said 'Oh no, at work and everything I spell it the way you do but for my tattoo I wanted something a bit differrent'. Urmmm...

Thanks boro though they're not huge. The biggest would easily fit in a 10p. And it didn't hurt. Was pinchy. But not painful if you know what I mean.

The annoying now bit was when it healed and scabbed over. So. Itchy!!!!! But must not scratch!!

I don't get the own name thing either. 😶 but I don't get people getting them necklaces with their own name either.
