The media coverage of winning the world cup in the 60's is ridiculous. Radio phone-ins, interviews with people who watched it, books written, news coverage.

If anything it should be embarassing that England hasn't won anything for 50 years.

I know I am b abit u and I don't know why it irks me so much.

It's hilarious in Germany. I teach English here and there was an article about small talk which mentioned that many English football fans see Germany as their great football rivals, whereas Germans don't think that at all.

Rousette it was a bit Likely Lads. It's a 25-minute journey and the closer I was getting to my stop, the twitchier I became. I was thinking of getting off and walking because I was sure my luck was going to run out.

It was a bit of a walkover, which was probably nice for him, but I'd have preferred a better match.

I was so upset for him when he lost his first final, but when he won the first time - that was great.

I think it's ironic that Wales got so much flak for celebrating our place in the semi finals in our first ever Euros with such amazing performances, by the very same people who won't shut up about that time England won the world cup in '66.

Hypocrisy much? Grin

Joe hart let in an easy goal against Iceland and someone said, 'Do you think hart should play in the quarter final?'

Derxa and yet I heard an English pundit after a match say: 'Joe Hart punched the air...and missed' Grin so some of us do have a sense of humour and that's what I stubbornly cling to.

I reckon we only won in 1966 because the tournament was here on our home soil.
It's about time we moved on from basking in the glory of a win 50 years ago.

But did they? I don't know anyone apart from Piers Morgan and some twitter trolls who criticised Wales.

They deserved their achievements and I wanted them to go all the way - not likely but we can dream and we don't have to be Welsh to do it.

I was also cheering for the Wildlings after seeing Aron Gunnarsson

I got very lucky in the Olympics draw and got most of the tickets I applied for.

The best was handball which was four years ago tomorrow. My mum and I saw France, Argentina, Denmark and some other nation I wish I could remember - possibly Spain. We didn't have a dog in the race but it was thrilling. Fast and physical. Shock

Best was watching the Danish and French supporters who were dressed as Vikings and Gauls Grin

OMG.... DH and I are in tonight with yummy grub and a bottle of wine and telly.

There is nothing on. BBC1 is Casualty which I hate, or ITV is "1966 A Nation Remembers" . I want to forget!

Netflix here I come!
