MIL calls DN her 'little king' because he's the only grandson and therefore far superior to her granddaughters.

DD3 is only 7 and has already perfected a wonderful eye roll when she hears it

heavens my family and my brother's family do it when we're out together because a mash up of our two surnames makes a delightful rude word.

I don't use cuz but my cousin calls me it and I quite like it.

I call my sis my "skin and blister"

My brothers call me sis, I call them bruv and little bruv.

My male cousin is cuz, I use their names if female (don't know why)

My 15 yo calls us all fam.

My 10yo has a crew, squad is lame apparently.

I use 'hun' to a few of my friends

Here in the American South, Sissy and Bubba for sister and brother are common to the point that they can become the person's universal nickname. I have a friend who has an Aunt Sissy. Her real name is Ruth.
And then, of course, there is the American golfer Bubba Watson.

Squad is so last year - apparently its clan now

Squad,goals,team etc do not bother me in the slightest however when I see grown woman call their friends, bestie, bae etc really gets on my nerves
