Upbeat songs I love 'town called malice' by the jam, 'perfect ten' by the beautiful south and 'common people' by pulp. Bat out of hell always gets me going and golden years (David bowie) will get you dancing in the kitchen.

Thanks all, can't wait to try all these out on the Sonos later and put some on my iPod! It's amazing how quickly you get bored even with about 3,000 songs on there.

I will chuck my hat into the ring with "crossfire" by Brandon flowers, love it for every bad relationship you ever had that you secretly wanted to work out!

I like that too OP but not as much as Smile like you mean it from him in The Killers.

For when you need to cheer up- Do Your Thing by Basement Jaxx
For when you're feeling pensive- Saint Claude by Christine and the Queens or Last Mile Home- acoustic version by Kings Of Leon
For a chilled out, summer vibe- Concrete Schoolyard by Jurassic 5 or Flake by Jack Johnson
For when you just want to listen to gorgeous music- I Giorni by Ludovico Einaudi or Neverland- piano variation in blue by Jan A.P. Kaczmarek

I'm coming out by Diana Ross is a fave for making me feel happy and upbeat. DCs hate it but it always makes me feel more positive when I hear it.
