To ask DH to bring Sledgehammer in to hospital to knock DS6 out?

Been in hospital with DS6 since Friday. He's got pneumonia! He's severely disable and autistic. Doesn't sleep without Chloral hydrate abd melatonin. Was suck at 12:30 and has been awake since! The night before he didn't sleep even with drugs. Soooo bloody exhausted !
Quick bob on the head might get me a couple of hours sleep.... Even if they in prison me!!! At least is sleep!

I often wonder how children can function on so little sleep. I have one night of broken sleep and im exhausted let alone two ir three

It must be so isolating and exhausting for you. But if DH has all of your older children at home he's probably pretty tired too... can someone free you for a few hours in the day to sleep?
Hope he's well enough to get home soon - and you have your own bed and your family back together.

Are you staying beside him or in accommodation nearby?
I would just tell the nurses you have had a very bad night and are off to grab a few hours kip. They will keep more of an eye on you and can ring if any change. An exhausted parent isn't functioning well. Hope he improves quickly.
