Husband with anger problems bit his child and left a mark.

Unreasonable?

OP posts:
Elfontheedge · 26/07/2016 17:55

You need to ask? Of course it bloody is!

Sirzy · 26/07/2016 17:55

It concerns me you even need to ask if that's unreasonable to be honest.

I would hope 'husband' is now living well away from child.

FuzzyOwl · 26/07/2016 17:55

You even have to ask?

Takingsooty · 26/07/2016 17:56

Massive safeguarding issue, see your GP.

TheUnsullied · 26/07/2016 17:56

Unreasonable? It's assault. And if it were my child and I saw him do it, he'd be lucky to escape the situation without being assaulted himself.

milkbottle · 26/07/2016 17:57

No, sounds perfectly reasonable Hmm

Why do you actually have to ask?!

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 26/07/2016 17:58

It's assault, and probably child abuse. If anyone else sees the bite, he'll have some explaining to do.

Take the child to the GP, make sure he's alright. Report the incident so that your judgement is not questioned too. If he is non-resident, stop his access to the children (lawfully!). If he is resident, make him not resident.

Once violence reaches this level, it's too late to save it.

WiMoChi · 26/07/2016 17:59

Fucking hell I need help.

OP posts:
dizzyfucker · 26/07/2016 18:01

It's not unreasonable, it's illegal. Do you know this child? Help them ASAP and get them away from this man.

JuanTime · 26/07/2016 18:02

Safeguarding issue.its physical abuse
Unpredictable, violent and volatile behaviour to child is wholly unacceptable
Are you and the child safe?does he have access to other children
What are you going to do?
Has child been been checked/treated?
There is physical and psychological impact to consider

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 26/07/2016 18:04

He bit his child in anger? Or he has anger issues and bit his child in a poor attempt to stop the child biting other people?

JuanTime · 26/07/2016 18:05

If safe to do so report as crime to police, get a crime number
Do you have an existing worker with local authority?if so contact them
Do you need a safe place to stay?if so tell police and local authority

GloGirl · 26/07/2016 18:08

Are you ok?

NeedACleverNN · 26/07/2016 18:15

Why did he bite his child? How old is this child? Are you ok and safe at the moment?

No it's not ok.

Buggers · 26/07/2016 18:21

Is this an account hack?!

NeedACleverNN · 26/07/2016 18:26

I doubt it Buggers

I'm pretty sure OP has said her dh has been violent before. I could be mixing her up with another poster but I don't think so

Buggers · 26/07/2016 18:30

Seriously? Poor child.

RedHareWithBlondeHair · 26/07/2016 18:31

If you need to even ask then yes, you're right you are in dire need of help. That isn't in the realms of unreasonableness - it's down right abuse.

Missgraeme · 26/07/2016 18:33

Unless u are a family of dogs that's child abuse in my mind!

NerrSnerr · 26/07/2016 18:34

The child needs to see the GP tomorrow and you need to tell the truth about what happened. You then need to think how to keep your child/ren safe in the future, whether that's with help through women's aid, social services etc.

ChicRock · 26/07/2016 18:34

Wtf? Really?

WiMoChi · 26/07/2016 18:37

The child was bit angrily because the father was bit? I need to know if this is the same as assault?

OP posts:
NeedACleverNN · 26/07/2016 18:41

Yes!

One is a child and one is an adult!

ChicRock · 26/07/2016 18:41

Ah look at you, already trying to find excuses for him biting a child and leaving a mark. Bloody disgraceful.

LifeInJeneral · 26/07/2016 18:43

It has no relevance what the child did if the grown man hurt the child in anger it is assault and you need to make sure the child is as far away from his as possible!!
