Dh does 5 night on the row and to cut down on childcare takes the DC to school.

Next week when dh is on nights I will need to take the DC out a lot to allow him to get sleep. Then I have the lovely task of weekend work as an nhs worker myself.

Do t think I will ever get used to the rota but at least I'm perm days.

Depends totally on what you do. Drink coffee and pray that this utter shithead tiredness will at least mean that you can sleep after tonight.

I used to manage about 4 hours sleep after a night shift and have to go back the next night.

No fun at all. One of the reasons I went onto the nurse bank, if I do a nightshift I get to decide when and how many.

You have my sympathies Thanks

That's what I'm doing now, not a nurse, 4 12 hour nights and 4 off and I hate it. I'm only getting 4 hrs because I have to pick my daughter up from school and it's not a restful sleep. I'm determined to get off them, it's making me ill.
