To complain about this flight?

I've just got off a long haul flight. After eating a dull but adequate meal, drunk a couple of glasses of passable wine and watched a fun movie about Eddie the Eagle if you're interested I decided to find something to complain about.

AIBU to complain that the baby in front of me had her tea then went to sleep, the parents even changed her nappy in the loos rather than the seat.

There were plenty of children and none of them ran about, they seemed glued to the IFE
Nobody reclined their seat until after the meal service.
Everyone queued for the loo in an orderly fashion
We all got off without a hitch.

I'm cross that I couldn't find anything to be cross about.

I think it's funny OP.
Mumsnet is very serious these days. Clearly lightheartedness is no longer allowed. We should all have another brexit fight instead.

scurryfunge · 24/07/2016 18:05

I think there is a place for humour and trivialisation where the issue doesn't ever matter. She is not mimimising domestic violence, child abuse or homelessness. It's an inane funny observation about nonsense. Something we could all do with.

diddl · 24/07/2016 18:14

There was a queue for the toilets?

That's terrible, Op.

PaulDacreCuntyMcCuntFace · 24/07/2016 18:16

Blimey some people really have had a sense of humour bypass!

The earnest killjoys meeting is that way

PinkissimoAndPearls · 24/07/2016 18:21

OP, if you look in classics, I was on a very recent thread entitled "no drama..." which I think you will like. It's a lovely thread, in the style of your OP.

People who don't like OP's post here, should probably stay away from it and possibly the rest of MNWinkGrin

PinkissimoAndPearls · 24/07/2016 18:25

Apologies if you've seen that thread already, or were even on it, I just realised my post may have come across as slightly patronising and I didn't mean it to be. I better hide before people complain about my shit posts Smile

Pettywoman · 24/07/2016 18:34

What a shit post Pink, YABU! GrinWink

FFS. Is this the designated meeting area for killjoys? Is there some sort of signal that brings you together to suck the joy out of any innocuous and really quite funny OP?

Pettywoman · 24/07/2016 19:38

I take it Wambam wasn't on the flight. I'm sure she'd have found something for you to complain about.

chocolateworshipper · 24/07/2016 19:41

Wait until you get home and find that some random stranger has parked on your driveway - THEN you'll have something to rant about

iMatter · 24/07/2016 19:43

And the lovely mood you were in has been spoilt by some arsey MNers so all is right with the world again... Wink

junebirthdaygirl · 24/07/2016 21:31

Arrested you sure your big ds didn't go running up the plane when ye landed and force you to break the queue so he wouldn't get lost!!

ProudAS · 25/07/2016 12:00

I think the OP has summed up MN.

Coming on AIBU and creating a thread about everything having gone right isn't the done thing. Surely the OP has to complain about having nothing to complain about.

Only1scoop · 25/07/2016 12:06

Surely there is something Op

Carts in the aisles too frequently?
Turbulence ?
Hand wash too chemically ?

I have even had onboard

Captain "ladies and gentleman happy to tell you we will be landing 25 mins before schedule time of arrival"

Pax "oh well that's great, will have to hang around for our lift" Angry
