That bandage!!! It's massive.... And on top of her trousers too!!!

We shouldn't laugh at other people's misfortunes but ... does anyone remember a few years ago when wheelie bins first became widely used? There was a news item about old ladies trying to wash them out 'in the old-fashioned way' whatever that is. Some of these ladies over-reached themselves and ended up falling inside head first. I knew my husband had heard this story when he not only laughed until the tears rolled down his face but was also rocking back and forth and stamping his feet. We'll probably rot in hell now.

I am disappointed no one has asked for my side of the story. I have done nothing wrong! I was just minding my own business when this person appeared from no where and kicked me .. I think she might have damaged my side .. can I sue?

Loving the bandage, my ds2 could do better! There is about a meter too much of it to start with and so slack it wouldnt support a dead fish never mind a leg that size. I would be 'suing' whoever put it on, did they really think no one would notice it was over her trousers? Its a pathetic attempt at 'more is best for effect' hope school tell her where to stick her bandage and her complaint.

She merrily libels Della Allen: I'll just email Della so she can respond appropriately and so she knows this charmer has a history of claiming compensation.

Della has worked her arse off ensuring the children were still educated over the past few weeks at a local secondary who hosted the extra staff and children without a murmur of protest. This delightful grandmother would obviously prefer compensation than for funds to be used to make the repairs to her granddaughter's school. What a cow.

God it's hilarious reading the comments. If she has damaged her ligaments then she has my sympathy as she seems to be lacking in professional health care as well as lacking in moral decency and common sense.

Stoppit! I can't take any more! I was drinking tea when I read the comments and it's come down my nose and everything.

I reckon the photographer got down on the floor for the dramatic shot and was probably stuck there for quite some time - very, very grim carpet!

It feels a bit wrong to giggle at this, it's like when you see an interview with a foreign accent syndrome suffered, sort of like 'mocking the afflicted', BUT there are some very funny comments. Roomba made me cry!

I'm going to hazard a guess that a medical professional did not apply that bandage.

It's not funny that she hurt herself, obviously. But having a slanging match in the comments section of your local newspaper is hilarious. we have no such high stakes drama in my local rag.

Ooh you should have seen the kerfuffle round here last week when someone tried to advertise the youth football team of the next town over. Two-pronged objections:(1) poaching from successful local team and (2) other team is run by son of former owner who lost such privileges when he was recently sent down for drugs offences though not for irregular financial affairs including enormous tax evasion.
