To think I can wait to see the doctor tomorrow.

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and yesterday found three red rash like patches on my bump. They aren't itching. Today they are still there but they aren't as red. DH thinks I should ring the emergency docs but I think I could wait til morning to get an appointment. Any clues.

My breasts are itching underneath but it's hot so thought that was the reason. No rashes on them.

I'd phone the labour ward and see what they suggest. That'd put both your minds at rest.

NeedACleverNN · 17/07/2016 20:58

I think you can wait till tomorrow.

Sounds like a heat/sweat rash

Obviously, any changes in movement from baby, any concerns of major worries, then call your labour ward immediately

UsernameTaken2 · 17/07/2016 21:01

Have you been having any other itching especially on the hands and feet? If yes ask for a blood test for Obstetric Cholestasis.

It's a problem where your liver isn't processing bile salts correctly which can be harmful for the baby.

I'm 38 weeks and have been diagnosed with this. When I went in for the blood test the doctor was very dismissive and even wrote on my notes that he didn't think I had it.

I don't want to worry you but it doesn't hurt to get checked out

Tmi but I had itchy boobs underneath with each of my pregnancies with nothing untoward if that helps. The three bumps could be bites.

Summerblaze100 · 17/07/2016 21:05

The only itching I have had is under my boobs. It's quite sweaty under there at the moment with this hot weather so thought that was why.

My bump isn't itchy at all, just 3 patches that are a slightly pinker colour and slightly raised.

No itching anywhere else, definitely not on hands or feet.

I have only started to feel baby a bit more recently as I have an anterior placenta but it is moving.

The patches are about 50p size.

Yep I'd wait until tomorrow. Has your care been passed to labour was yet? I don't think mine was until later

NeedACleverNN · 17/07/2016 21:07

Are you able to post a picture?

are you sure they aren't bites?

Dontyoulovecalpol · 17/07/2016 21:08

Labour ward that is!

Summerblaze100 · 17/07/2016 21:10

Has it uploaded as I can't see anything?

Summerblaze100 · 17/07/2016 21:21

It looks like it has from here.

NeedACleverNN · 17/07/2016 21:28

Hopefully someone else can see it

Just seen it through the app.

It's almost invisible really isn't it?

Summerblaze100 · 17/07/2016 21:39

Yeah it's not really that red. It was redder yesterday but not much. Gone down a bit today so it's barely there.

OP posts:
NeedACleverNN · 17/07/2016 21:41

If it's still there tomorrow, see a doctor but I would think it's a heat related issues. If it's gone, then mention it to your midwife next time you see it

Summerblaze100 · 17/07/2016 21:46

Thanks. Will get a GP appointment if it's still there tomorrow.

It could just be your skin stretching.
