I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and yesterday found three red rash like patches on my bump. They aren't itching. Today they are still there but they aren't as red. DH thinks I should ring the emergency docs but I think I could wait til morning to get an appointment. Any clues.

My breasts are itching underneath but it's hot so thought that was the reason. No rashes on them.

No idea but try the non-emergency NHS Direct?

Are they dry? might just be the effect of skin stretching?

Thought the first thread didn't post so tried again so now I have 2. Went to the docs this morning. He had no idea what it was. Said one patch looked like a fungal infection but the others didn't. He said it wasn't typical of a heat rash or a fungal infection. Eventually he said if it wasn't itching then to just moisturise and come back if it became itchy or spread.

Tonight I have got really itchy in between my boobs. It now has a rash there but this is something I do get especially when it's hot even when not pg.

Not sure what to do now as the rash on my belly hasn't got worse or started itching but this one is although could be just my normal thing. Think I might call the midwife tomorrow b

Have you changed your soap or washing powder. I know that's such so simple but easy to not have thought about it.

One last thought from me. I used to get rashes when I was pregnant , the rash had a blistering to it. Apparently it was a form of eczema. ...

Where abouts in the country are you?

At 24 weeks you could ring the delivery suite to ask their opinion. I'd guess heat rash assuming you are in a suddenly warm bit of the UK.
If it's subsiding then it is probably something to do with stretching, heat or pressure. Your immune system is a bit bamboozled by hosting a whole new human too.

Oh and if your DH is fretting more than you, do make sure you sày that so you don't get the hysterical pg woman label as evidençed by another thread recently.

The rash between your boobs is extremely common in pregnancy, especially when it's hot. Symptoms of cholestasis would be much more pronounced (look up the NHS site which explains it very well).

Did the dr suggest an anti-fungal cream for the patch which looked like fungal infection? I would start there and try not to worry about the boob itching unless it spreads much further and becomes more pronounced.

Cholestasis itch tends to be most pronounced on the soles of your feet and the palms of your hands (though it's brutal everywhere) so if you get that, notify the hospital as soon as you can.

Itching, for whatever reason, is so uncomfortable when it's hot and muggy. Cool (not cold) bath helps!
