Chop the hands off the 16month old ds to stop him from pulling all the DVDs on to the floor? Again Hmm

Also wibu to gag the 3 year old Dd to stop her complaining every time ds goes near her?

pretty sure that would be child abuse

Hippywannabe · 15/07/2016 17:37

Oh dear, Op you forgot to say, Lighthearted!

Ratbagratty · 15/07/2016 17:38

Use the dvds on the floor to build a barrier between the two!

NeedACleverNN · 15/07/2016 17:38

I refuse to use that word Grin

If anyone thinks I am actual being serious they may need to go back to bed and find their sense of humour

I will join you op and offer a child who is nearly 4 yet cannot grasp that drawing on walls is a no no. He also seems to have a special ability to find crayon/pencil despite Mrs putting them on a high shelf. To that the walls are washable'

NeedACleverNN · 15/07/2016 17:53

We haven't experience wall drawings yet. Hopefully we won't either.

The DVD wall sounds genius. Pity that ds is such a brute and will probably knock them all down

I've just tidied and hoovered. Both dc are bathed and in pj's. Wibu to put them in a dog crate to stop them messing up the house before bedtime? I'll let them watch cbeebies while they're in there, I'm not a monster! Grin

Can you build a mini electric fence around the DVDs?

Or failing that, put big toys in front of them, or a toy box although he might climb that to get to them

NeedACleverNN · 15/07/2016 18:00

Ooooo electric fence is a brilliant idea

And dog crate? Ywbu not to use it!

How does it happen... one DC told no once when they first draw on the wall and never does it again... The other DC told the same but blithely ignores and continues at every available opportunity - walls, furniture, carpet!!! For YEARS!!! Then started putting stickers on EVERYTHING AS WELL!!! In the end we came to an agreement... DD could do her worst on her wooden high chair but nowhere else... And it worked... Largely... The other day I found that the now teenage DD had written on my beloved wooden table saver (from the other side of the world) in fluorescent biro!Angry... So I can only include that the ruddy inclination never goes, you just have to try and contain as best you can!

Swap you for a 8 yr old and 4 yr old who go from playing to fighting in the blink of an eye, tell tales on each other and cannot be left alone as destroy the place.. Whilst I am trying to pack for our holiday!
