To think Pokemon knew that everyone would be trying to make a trainer account?

Seriously been trying for hours. Got a very excited Pokemon fan here that can't understand that we have the app but can't use it yet. Surely they knew it would be so busy?

Wouldn't you think they would be able to accommodate demand?

They weren't able to accommodate demand before the UK came online; I've been playing for a few days and the servers were kicking me out whenever NZ/Aus 'woke up'. So I don't know what they were thinking launching it here, unless something has changed drastically since yesterday...

I managed to log in with my google account fine. I caught a squirtel in the break room and work, and a licktung outside the supermarket

Do you need Internet connection to play it btw?

I've been playing since Tuesday(so wasn't officially out in UK yet) and it did take me several refreshes to get a trainer account. It has been awful today with freezing but it will settle down soon enough. Just keep trying

Google works fine, even before the UK release the Pokemon account one was rubbish.

You can create an account online using your laptop/tablet/phone then log in with that.

Or use Google, which is easier.

It's also been horrendous during commuting times every day since it came out - I don't think it'll work again until about 6:30 going by the rest of this week!

Where's the Google login in? All my app says is trainer account log in

If your DC is just starting to play I have a tip. I've heard if you physically run away from the 3 offered starter pokemon the game will eventually offer you a pikachu instead (you have to so it about 3 times)

Can you have Google log in on an IPhone or is that Android only?

There was a google login on iphone. I used it last week. But got sick of it because the server kept crashing. And everytime I was logged out, I need to enter the 2-factor authentication token! Gave up and created a trainer account instead.
