On the vague off chance that Jezza & chums (and the rest of the Labour Party, in fact) are MN readers, perhaps this article could give them a nudge in the right direction:

S'ok Jezza, you can thank me later WinkGrin

gonetoseeamanaboutadog Love ALL of your posts. Sums up my thoughts exactly, all of it, except far better than I could ever have said it.

Thank you.

gonetosee
one of the problems with Cameroon is that he had always been in politics so knew ferk all
May is different (nastier but different)
Jo Cox who was killed - she knew the real world
but Corbyn,
what does he really know of how his theories pan out

and WHAT is he doing for the £125k he gets paid by the taxpayer ?

I would really, really like to see somebody ROAST the Tories for getting us into this mess
Corbyn is too far up his own navel to do it.

flippinada · 16/07/2016 22:38

Talkin exactly. He's a privileged man from a privileged background who has never experienced real hardship. He has a six figure salary - something that the vast majority of people in this country can never hope to achieve.

None of that would matter though if he was actually doing his job instead of attending back slapping events with his mates.

Enthusiasm - agree with you re PR and social media. It's all over there like a rash.

And Momentum are dodgy as fuck too. They have no accountability or transparency. They're not part of the Labour Party either but seem to be very interested in trying to control it nevertheless. How is that not dodgy as fuck?

gonetoseeamanaboutadog · 16/07/2016 23:41

No, enthusiasm the fact that 'principled' is associated with Corbyn is not proof the 'spin' is working unless you want it to be. It could just as easily be his stance on bombing Syria. In fact, when you come to think of it, that would make sense, wouldn't it. Hmm

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 16/07/2016 23:54

thankfully most people can see through him can see that his friendly relationships with terrorist organisations have had nothing to do with bringing peace as his pr team are now working on and everything to do with being a rebellious mp yawn yawn

And the press will remind those that have forgotten should he still be leader during the run up to a general election

And as you are such a supporter you know he lied his was through the referendum unless you know nothing of his opinions on the EU that have carefully been removed from his website

Alister Campbell would be proud of doing such a good job

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 17/07/2016 00:03

Totally agree trying to portray himself as a man of the people Hmm it's so 1970's

He has lived a very privileged life and what does he do excatly for the huge salary he is earning

MangoMoon · 17/07/2016 00:44

There's talk of Stephen Kinnock planning to form a breakaway party now (papers tomorrow apparently).

Corbyn's legacy?
Personal vanity being prized above the good of the party.

Labour's legacy?
Started out as a great idea until the liberal elite got their grubby paws on it and tarnished it beyond repair.

So campaigning and speaking up on behalf of the voiceless is now officially stirring up shit.

But he isn't actually speaking up on behalf of the "voiceless". The Opposition is currently not fighting measures which will harm the voiceless in the UK in Parliament. The Opposition is not sticking up for teachers, NHS workers and all those who are being harmed by the measures going through Parliament. They're too busy going to rallies instead.

gonetoseeamanaboutadog · 17/07/2016 10:14

enthusiasm Anyone who ducks out of an honest response to a rational point with the words 'yawn yawn' is not worth debating with. Unluckily for you, there are plenty who don't share your view.

I know why I support Corbyn and I know why others don't. It doesn't bother him at all if his views are unpopular and he will continue to speak up for the disadvantaged (yes he would esornep) regardless of the, frankly, abusive and rather irrational insults that are levelled at him.

Re: Brexit, surely it is not too complex to understand that not wanting to get into the EU and thinking, now we're in, that to get out in this manner at this time are two very different things.

To accuse Corbyn and Corbyn out of all politicians of being in it for the money is absurd. It highlights the fact that you're scraping the bottom of the barrel for ways to invalidate someone who is, actually, quite comfortable with not being liked by the establishment. And, unlike most politicians, he won't change doing what he believes in to make you like him. Which is why I do.

gonetoseeamanaboutadog · 17/07/2016 10:15

that to get out in this manner at this time would be a disaster

merrymouse · 17/07/2016 10:30

It's not just the MPs who are frustrated with Corbyn. It's also also the people who have been advising him on economic policy.

l get the impression that they don't care who is leading the Labour Party, they just want somebody to lead the Labour Party, and, having worked with JC, they don't think he is capable of doing that.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 17/07/2016 10:36

The yawn yawn wasn't a reply to you it was in response to Coryn's actions always rebelling against his party but doing nothing

His support would not win an election labour did very badly at the last local elections when they should have been far ahead of the Tories tax credit cuts, doctors strike, more involvement in the ME yet they couldn't gain votes

I haven't seen anyone acuse him of being in it for the money but point out he has lived the life of a privileged man yet he wants to promote himself as the man of the people and plays down his privilege

Did he get paid for his appearances on Iranian state television Confused strange that he would even think about appearing in such a show never mind being paid to do so

lljkk · 17/07/2016 10:52

What's the difference between a man of principle and an inflexible ideologue?

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 17/07/2016 13:11

having a good pr team Grin

MangoMoon · 17/07/2016 15:39

Labour split imminent?

Lib Dems have been approached apparently - and we all know they'll get into bed with anyone if there's even a sniff of power...

OP posts:
PigletWasPoohsFriend · 17/07/2016 15:44

Apparently it's not about winning

lljkk · 17/07/2016 16:00

(thumbs up 2 Enthusiasm)
Corbyn has spent 30 yrs complaining about stuff.
And rebelling against his party.
I wonder what any MP has achieved, but JC especially so.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 17/07/2016 17:40

He is splitting the party and may split the party forever well done Jeremy Hmm Angry

TaIkinPeace · 17/07/2016 17:59

I spent this afternoon discussing politics with my (very strong willed) 15 year old.
He thinks Corbyn is an Arse.
He is scared by what the Tories and UKIP want to do to those who are vulnerable.
He is more scared by Putin than by the concept of Nuclear.

Corbyn is a dinosaur pandering to the angry.
He is no more valid than Farage

MerryMarigold · 19/07/2016 10:22

Sums up a lot of MN
