To take this sleeping bag back?

I got a new 18-24mth sleeping bag for ds from tkmaxx on friday and i have just went to put him in it for bedtime and have noticed that the zip has burst. Aibu to take it back to the shop for an exchange?

Because i dont have the reciept i accidentally threw it out. I was worried they wouldnt help me because of this

It's faulty so as long you are still entitled to an exchange

Take it back. It's not fit for purpose. They can tell from their till records that a particular item was purchased at a particular time on a particular day.

I took a £2 bubble gun back to a cheap shop today because it didn't work. Would probably have been easier to buy a new one but I do feel that retailers shouldn't be allowed to sell rubbish because it's cheap/discounted etc

Take it back. Those things can be expensive. I didn't know TKMaxx sold them. I'm going to look now as need some next size ones for DD Grin
