AIBU to wear yellow to a wedding?

I'm going to a wedding this week and wanted to wear a new yellow dress to it (with a shawl, nude clutch and shoes etc, pearls).

I was looking for accessories ideas and went down the internet rabbit hole and ended up on a thread where some people were saying you shouldn't wear red to a wedding as you'll stand out in all the wedding photos.

Well, surely yellow would stand out too. It hadn't really occurred to me as yellow is such a happy, sunshiney, summery colour that I thought it would suit. All views most welcome!

I have had brightly coloured hair for decades, Oysterbabe - I am with you on this one. I have learnt to stay away from wedding photographers or just go to the evening do because I am sick of the fall-out from it all. It's a wedding and supposed to be just a time of family celebration isn't it?

I have worn black and white patterned or spotty dresses to weddings before, with red accessories. Have also worn bright red and navy, these colours suit me and i look ill in pastels, purple is ok too for the autumn or winter wedding.
I agree with pp as long as it isn't white you can wear what you want.

Surely the bride will stand out and yellow would look lovely. It's more a case of if it suits you.

Your outfit sounds lovely.
