Also, I bet there are a fair few countries in the world that would swap with us. Equally, this kind of self-depreciation was going on waaay before this. Exactly - they weren't even there! At least you lot got on the plane...we are so much better than the rest of the UK at football (in our ginger topped heads) and you didn't even give us a shot of the ball .

Anyway, looking on the bright side, now that we've got the EU ref out of the way there's a few more years of instability and infighting to look forward to before the next indy ref. Every cloud and all that..

Look, I love life. So I don't want to be a negative arse. But looking at it objectively things in this country are NOT good.

• racial abuse up 75%
