... When pregnant, hormonal or otherwise?

I'm sure this thread has been done before (many times) but thought I'd add some light-heartedness to MN today.

I'm making some brownies for a friend & had just enough ingredients to make a batch for home. First lot in the oven. Second batch sat in a bowl mixed ready for the oven. Decided to make some lunch while I wait for the cooking process & added a huge dollop of mayonnaise into the brownie mix instead of the tuna. Normally this would annoy me (greatly) & would be then binned. Today, at 26 weeks pregnant, it's instead resulted in a tearful breakdown! Curse the hormones!

I cried when I saw an old couple holding hands!

FairyDogMother11 · 10/07/2016 17:13

I wasn't pregnant, just hormonal, but I once burst into tears because there was a cat sat out in the rain and it looked sad.

ThinkPinkStink · 10/07/2016 18:26

I'm 27 weeks - I cried he other day because the smell of cinnamon on someone else's coffee reminded me how much I love Christmas.

Heard 'Oh Mein Papa' by Eddie Calvert ( the man with the golden trumpet ) earlier which opened the floodgates.I'd just stopped snivelling when DD brought poorly DGS aged 7 round as he has a tummy upset and can't go to school. She gave me his end of term report to read which set me off again.I know that he's a lovely, kind very bright boy but it's so nice to see it written down.Going to be one of those days Grin

Just the other day I cried when I ate a Time Out. They've changed the recipe to more wafer and less chocolate.

I had pmt, been puked on about a million times and I'd been looking forward to it all day. I went to the shop for it especially. I'm still cross actually.

TroysMammy · 11/07/2016 09:10

I cry watching Greyfriars Bobby. The dog doesn't die and I'm not a dog person, I prefer cats.

nonetcurtains · 11/07/2016 09:11

a box of mushrooms in the greengrocers made me cry.

Another sob. My sister and I both worked on customer service in a bank and one day I was giving an old lady her balance and she started telling me about her sister who had just died. She had a few siblings but she was closest to her than the others. As soon as the call ended I run to the toilet crying. My sister ran after me and I sobbed "that will happen to one of us one day, one of us will be left alone". I'm crying thinking of it now.

I cry because I need a hip op and I hurt all the time, work is rubbish at the moment and one person in particular is telling lies about me to my manager which makes me very sad as I have always been fair to her.

VanillaSugar · 11/07/2016 21:15

Oh god, so many things. I am ttc (with fertility issues) so sometimes take medication with puts my hormones into overdrive. I dreamt that I was pregnant but DH had died. He woke me up because I was crying so much in my sleep I was hyperventilating. It took all day to shake that off.

Also cried when I sat down to watch season finale of Criminal Minds to find it has clashed and not recorded (was also mid treatment madness) Blush
And when I made a cup of tea only to find that DH had taken the biscuits to work Blush This caused proper heart thumping sobs for around 30 minutes.

I sometimes watch My Girl when i need a cry. That scene where he's in his coffin and she suddenly runs in hysterical about how much he needs his glasses. Gulp. Makes me teary just thinking about it Sad

Bin bag burst...have a broken knee and can't kneel to clean up.

It was the final straw - completely exhausted and just wanted to sit down.

Bawled like a baby...

tinkywinkyshandbag · 11/07/2016 22:21

I cried big fat silent tears at 8 wks pregant in a cafe in Sydney when I asked for a cheese and tomato sandwich and all they had was a mozarella and sun dried tomato panini. DH was like Shock and has pretty much looked like that ever since.

PortiaCastis · 11/07/2016 22:27

I cried this morning when dd got in her car and drove herself to sixth form. My baby is all grown up.
Cannot watch the Railway Children since my Dad died, the ending saying Daddy my Daddy has me a snivelling wreck.

BonnieBlueButler · 11/07/2016 22:33

I knew there was something up when I cried when Diversity first performed on Britain's Got Talent. Not like me at all and I sat there all confused with big tears dripping down my face.

Found out next day I was 6 weeks pregnant.

TeamEponine · 11/07/2016 22:34

I was stuck at home with awful morning sickness during the Winter Olympics. I sobbed uncontrollably at the curling, which DH still reminds me of. I'd never watched it before, but for some reason I got really emotionally invested in it, and totally lost it at the medals ceremony! Hmm

I also sobbed watching the episode of Friends where phoebe gets married, even though I've seen it many times before and never so much as welled up!

littleprincesssara · 11/07/2016 22:35

I cried so hard at 'Hotel for Dogs' the flight attendant came and asked if I was okay.

WellIGuessThisIsGrowingUp · 12/07/2016 06:41

I cried when i was driving out of a little street onto a busy road. There was a lady cycling on the footpath as I drove up to the junction, i think i must have spooked her as i approached the junction because she glared at me and called me a "stupid cow". I cried (hormones!!!). (Side note... I was nowhere near to hitting her!!)

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 12/07/2016 06:53

HoneyBadgers · 12/07/2016 09:08

Puppies.

Had just finished a row of night shifts and hadn't managed to sleep much in the days before so was running on empty. Sat down when I got in and someone had posted a video on Facebook of a group of puppies playing in a paddling pool. It was cute, and I cried, I don't even know why. DP made me some toast and sent me to bed Blush

WellIGuessThisIsGrowingUp · 12/07/2016 21:09

I also cry every time someone wins on deal or no deal... I never used to be so soft before i had children!

Princesspinkgirl · 13/07/2016 09:05
