To send did on play date whilst in the care of friend for few days

Dh and I are going away for a few nights. Friend is having my dc's and dd has been invited on a play date with best friend during this time. My instinct is that it would be rude to do this but Dh says not.
Would it be rude to accept?
Friend would not do pick ups/drop offs.

If I was babysitting, sending the child off on a play date would be a blessed relief.

Does your friend have dc?
Tbh she might well love the idea of a few hours off

Definitely ask her anyway as she might have made plans.

Yes she has dcs, we swap regularly as they are all the same sort of ages.
She's had a break with her Dh and now it's my turn😊
I know my dd finds her kids v high octane so dd will relish the relief but I don't want to piss friend off coz she's great .

Ask her. It could be a pain because it would restrict their plans or cause friction with her own dcs. Or she might welcome the break.
