to think DD needs an x-ray

DD was kicked over on Tuesday and has hurt her arm. I iced it after school. DD said she felt dizzy and her vision went all dark just after it happened. It's not swollen or bruised but she has been complaining that it hurts. DP thinks she's putting it on because it doesn't look fractured and she can move it/bend it. But she is going out of her way to not lean on it, has been holding it up to support it and was in tears on the way home today because it hurts. And DD really doesn't want to go to the hospital or end up in a cast and tells me "I'm not going to hospital!" I've told DP that I think it needs x-raying but am second guessing myself. Is it likely to be fractured even though it looks normal? Aibu to think it needs to be x-rayed?

I would definitely take for an X Ray, especially with her description of how she felt when it happened, hope fill you are already at A and E being seen.

It bloody does! I got a right grilling for waiting days before taking my daughter years ago when she broke her arm. But I thought as she still did handstands after hurting it then it couldn't be broken. It was.

I would, just in case. DS2 is awful for not reporting physical injuries so I was always worried about him because of that, I drove DH crazy saying ' do you think he's ok? He's not putting weight on it, should we go to A&E ?'. I say get her checked out, it can't do her any harm.
