Wanted a child carrier for our camping trip next week. Sadly can't afford a decent one so bought a flimsy one off eBay.

Just spotted this bad boy on a street near my office. Rang the doorbell of a couple of houses nearby to ask who it belongs to but no answer.

AIBU to just take it? Don't want to rob a family of their expensive carrier but if it's for the taking then I would love to take it. WWYD?

Rang the doorbell today and the mum answered, she confirmed it had been left out there for someone to take as they didn't use it anymore.

I said how grateful I was and it had gone to a good home.

She assured me it was in good condition and was safe!

Happy ending all round Grin

awesome :)
did you check what else had been outgrown - just to save the anxiety of being unsure next time?!

Funny story - I had one of those and left in outside my front door to dry after washing it. A neighbour I knew only to wave to rang my bell and asked if it was for sale. Sadly, it wasn't, but I did end up loaning it to them for their hols as they happened to be goung away a week after we returned - so I wouldn't have been using it anyway.

A year later, once it had been outgrown by my DD, I did end up giving it to them.

And your update really makes me smile!
