I have an illogical fear of large empty swimming pools. It's totally irrational but I'd be too frightened to look at one let alone stand in it.

Mould, wasps, needles and blood. Blood to the point that I nearly faint when I hear about blood donation and my heart is racing now just thinking of it.

Ed1tY0urPr0f1le · 30/06/2016 12:16

Spiders (but that's perfectly reasonable, surely, freaky fuckers!!)

Looking up at the stars and thinking about the vastness of space gives me the heebie jeebies!

grumpydwarf · 30/06/2016 12:19

Skin tags and baked beans!! Both make me shudder and want to be sick.

Also Sick makes me sick

ghostyslovesheep · 30/06/2016 12:23

Large metal objects in water - like Oil Rigs or submarines

My absolute nemesis are the huge metal chains they have at places like the Pier Head in Liverpool - they make me feel really ill!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 30/06/2016 12:24

I'm glad lots of people have a thing about lots of little holes! I hate looking at crumpets, especially if the holes are all deep and uneven Sad
And the creaky noise of cotton wool.
Swimming in seaweed always freaked me out as a child.

ShtoppenDerFloppen · 30/06/2016 12:33

Latex balloons and walking down spiral staircases.

Don't mind going up, but down does me in.

And only latex balloons pop - the mylar ones are no problem.

MadameCholetsDirtySecret · 30/06/2016 12:35

People rubbing their eyes. I think they might pop out. I just can't watch.

RustyPaperclip · 30/06/2016 12:36

RuggerHug Me too! I thought I was the only person in the world to be terrified by slugs and snails. I wouldn't say it is a illogical fear though, they are clearly out to get me

LouBlue1507 · 30/06/2016 12:38
  • The dark
  • Touching carpet with my bare feet when wet
  • Stray hair, even my own!
  • Standing near the edge of a bed (where something can grab your feet!!)
MrsFancyFanjango · 30/06/2016 12:38

Killer Whales Shock
I even have nightmares about the fuckers, No idea what started it off!

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 30/06/2016 12:39

Mr Fox from Fantastic Mr Fox

Or any other humanised foxes terrify me especially male for some odd reason

I love foxes and I love humans (well some of them)

RustyPaperclip · 30/06/2016 12:40

Also, spiral staircases and people dressed in animal costumes. Even worse, people dressed as animals wearing human clothes. Makes me shudder just thinking about it

weegiemum · 30/06/2016 12:41

Small versions of things! For example cherry tomatoes, baby corn, babble cheese. Those fairy doors people put on trees really freak me out!

weegiemum · 30/06/2016 12:41

babybel cheese!

RuggerHug · 30/06/2016 12:50

Flumpnugget · 30/06/2016 12:52

Large vessels in water.

Being surrounded by lorries on the motorway. Gives me the sweats just thinking about it. I think the drivers might sneeze / doze off/ be watching a dvd in there or something and just flatten everything & everyone around them. Hate them!

Onedaftmonkey · 30/06/2016 12:55

Being in a hairdressers. Can't do it. Freaks me the fuck out.

RustyPaperclip · 30/06/2016 12:58

exWifebeginsat40 · 30/06/2016 12:59

(i once climbed Glastonbury Tor and when we came to go back down there were cows on the path. i was prepared to stay up there forever)

RustyPaperclip · 30/06/2016 13:01

Phew, I googled and luckily there were no photos! Thank you Google! Wikipedia says that Molluscophobia is irrational and ridiculous Angry

littleprincesssara · 30/06/2016 13:11

Geese.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 30/06/2016 13:16

exwifebeginsat40 My sister and I took our children for a picnic and a gang of cows slowly surrounded us and started trampling all over the picnic rug. I think what scared me most was their blank eyes and the dribble coming out of their mouths.
The only way to escape was to throw our apples for them and run.
The funny thing was, we didn't see any cows when we sat down or hear them approaching.Shock

Ezzie29 · 30/06/2016 13:41

I can't be near uncovered mirrors at night, the mirror in my room is covered with a blanket because I worry I will look and see something peeping at me. Also get the urge to say Bloody Mary which I know isn't real but I don't ever say it just in case.
Terrified of clowns but I think that's fairly standard! Mum let me watch IT when I was 9, I never stood a chance.

Mouikey · 30/06/2016 13:44
