To think the lead members of the Royal family should step up to the plate

Thanks to David Cameron running off with his tail between his legs we are, to quote his words something he DID get right temporarily rudderless.

I know the Royal family aren't supposed to get involved in political matters, but they should be doing something … if it's only to boost morale and promote some sense of unity.

Crazy idea, or not?

The Royals cannot get involved with this. It is a job for the Government but with Cameron gone, Osborne hiding and the Brexit guys backtracking it looks like the UK may be without leadership for 3-4 months

legotits · 26/06/2016 10:27

Well I'm not busy.

I can step in?

ConfuciousSayWhat · 26/06/2016 10:27

I think Cameron made a smart move. He's left the final decision to the brexit camp, they have to hand over the paperwork. It's inspired.

PaintedDrivesAndPolishedGrass · 26/06/2016 10:27

Yes it's a crazy idea.

AnyFucker · 26/06/2016 10:27

The actual craziest idea I have seen around this issue (and I have seen a lot)

MardyBra · 26/06/2016 10:27

No I don't. they should remain neutral.

As it is. I think it's quite dangerous that the queen was reported to be pro-Brexit.

For the first time in this whole debacle I am speechless...

Boogers · 26/06/2016 10:30

Murdoch orchestrated the Brexit fight, I think it's time that cunt stepped up to the plate to tell us what to do next.

We all know he wants to abolish the BBC, but other than that what's the plan, Stan?

happygoluckylady · 26/06/2016 10:32

Indeed. Beatrice and Eugenie should share PM role.Hmm

EveOnline2016 · 26/06/2016 10:35

ehat can the queen do. 😂😂😂😂

MajesticSeaFlapFlap · 26/06/2016 10:37

I think we should put prince Phil in Charge for a bit....

LaurieFairyCake · 26/06/2016 10:38

There is no way the Queen personally and privately wanted to Brexit

No way at all

A lot of people voted Leave because they saw the EU as undemocratic and wanted a greater say in electing the people who make our laws.

In what way would it make sense to put an unelected figurehead in charge? Seems a step backwards to me.

AnnJones15 · 26/06/2016 10:40

I think Prince Charles could be a caretaker prime minister, he's very knowledgeable and most people like him. The royals are uniting figures and maybe the country would be run better if they had real power.

allegretto · 26/06/2016 10:40

I think they should have spoken up! This could well be the end of the monarchy anyway if the country splits.

allegretto · 26/06/2016 10:41

Prince Charles is knowledgeable and liked? Hmm

StealthPolarBear · 26/06/2016 10:41

I don't think the op is suggesting they should lead. Just do something nice to bring Britain back together a bit. Turn 90 or have a baby or something

The royals are not allowed in the Houses of Parliament. They burst into flame or something. Grin

AnnJones15 · 26/06/2016 10:44

The Royals are part of the Foreign Office, they are diplomats and ideal to be front and centre in situations like this .

MardyBra · 26/06/2016 10:52

The Queen was reported as being eurosceptic. Personally I don't trust the Sun, but I wonder how many gullible Sun readers did.
