I mean for centuries the Welsh have been annexed, downtrodden had their language almost aboloished, their coal industry ripped from them, they have been royally fucked over by the UK, but my God have they had their revenge.

They seem to have waited a hundred or so years to exact it but June 23rd they delivered the blow.

They say revenge is a dish served cold, but Jesus this came out of the freezer Grin

I will probably get flamed but I do love a bit of gallows humour!

The stupid thing is, in Wales we got a net gain from the EU in monetary terms, so really we only got revenge on ourselves. Go Wales.

longdiling · 25/06/2016 23:22

Erm, revenge on who? Wales benefitted hugely from EU funding.

If Wales voted remain as they were all expected to, I think it would have given more strength to abandoning a brexit, if 3 of 4 nations say no.

Yes but who have they got revenge on? Cameron? Who may well be replaced by Boris and I doubt he'll do much for Wales.

I don't understand your post.

Even if you were right, it's not revenge it's biting off your nose to spite your face...

Just the UK in general I feel.

I'm a tad tipsy and I'm having about 6 conversations on whatsapp and on here. Sorry all, I'm missing out parts.

Buffalo, I know fantastic result for the team.

It would appear we've knocked NI out of the euros and the EU in the space of 72hours!

But Wales are part of the UK. They have voted themselves out of the EU not just England and they stand to lose more. I suggest you try this again when you're sober

Maybe I should get that taxi and head home then Grin
