My daughter is 9 and so naive about everything. I love her innocence but wonder if I'm doing her a disservice by not having discussed periods yet. When did you discuss them with yours?

OP, please try to get away from the idea that having practical knowledge about her body will somehow make her 'less innocent'.

My sister was sexually abused by her boyfriend and didn't tell our mum because she didn't want our mum 'to be disappointed' she wasn't 'innocent' anymore.
