He told Sheila Hancock she is getting on a bit and IMO visibly embarrassed her, and Nigel Lawson effectively that he wouldn't live for much longer - during The Final Debate last night.

Aibu to think that he might have been using them as arguments, and they might be 83 and 84, but they still have feelings?? Do any of us, even at 84, want to be told we won't be around for much longer?

Oops don't know how Nigel became Nobel!!

YABU and over-sensitive. I didn't think Sheila Hancock was in the least embarrassed. You tend not to get to the age of 83 without developing a degree of robustness about your age and everything else.

Yanbu I thought it was unbelievably rude.

I guess when you go on a programme which is chaired by Paxman you prepare yourself for insults.
