Fanny is a very naughty word in Scotland,

That loads of people hate the expression 'little man' (guilty)!

That there are other toddlers out there that refuse to go to bed and actually for many parents there's fuck all you can do but ride it out.

Mumsnetters can offer a wealth of experience, advice and hand holding and it can make a massive difference in your life.

And loads more things but wanted to keep it lighthearted. How about you?

We're not allowed pegs? Confused

MeAndMy3LovelyBoys · 22/06/2016 12:14

MeandMy3LOvely Oh yes that strange sort of feminism annoys me too.

It just puts me off associating myself with feminism and being a feminist.

HostaFireandIce · 22/06/2016 12:30

Oh yes, I learnt recently that some women put their bras on by fastening them at the front and then twisting them round into position. I am still Shock at that one!

MrsJayy · 22/06/2016 12:32

Thats how i put my bra on i have rubbish reach i cant be bothered faffing round my back

HazelBite · 22/06/2016 12:36

That when I retire aged 60 (I'm 64 and still working full time) Me and Dh will be extremely wealthy, with our gilt edged pensions, so we will never need bus passes, fuel allowance, etc, we will have a brand new car in the garage, go on many foreign trips each year, and be the envy of all those 30, somethings with their young families all getting tax credits and free nursery hours.

flirtygirl · 22/06/2016 12:37

I learnt that i need to ltb.

lifeistooshort · 22/06/2016 12:40

That there is such a thing as tubing mascara and that it is marvelous!

HostaFireandIce · 22/06/2016 12:44

MrsJayy are they underwired? When I found out people did this, I decided to try it myself. I nearly punctured my lung.

Buttonmoonb4tea · 22/06/2016 12:45

I learnt that only expensive private schools provide an excellent education. There are threads that are specifically asking which school shall I send DC to "Eton" or "Harrow". Honestly didn't think people in RL sent there kids to these schools, thought they were fictional Confused

wigglesrock · 22/06/2016 12:45

MrsJayy thats how I put mine on too, usually after drying myself with a towel my husband might have also used Wink

MrsJayy · 22/06/2016 12:55

All bras ive always done it that way kinda thought every woman did.

MrsJayy · 22/06/2016 12:57

There is only about 10% or something of the uks children who go to private school most of the parents are mumsnetters

WorraLiberty · 22/06/2016 12:58

I've always fastened bras like that too, and bikini tops.

What's with the towel sharing angst anyway?

People do realise they're for drying yourself once you're clean, don't they?

Unlike my DS, who thinks they're for wiping the dirt off once you've loosened it with soap and water Grin

WorraLiberty · 22/06/2016 13:02

Oh yes, something else I've learned from Mumsnet.

A huge amount of exes never pay a penny for their children.

Yet just as many Mumsnetters have DPs who always pay for their children, even if they haven't been allowed to see them for years.

That's ever so slightly confusing.

AppleSetsSail · 22/06/2016 13:05

I found the loo brush thing absolutely astonishing. I could not possibly live without one.

Oh, it's sexist to assume that women appreciate candles more than men. Despite me never having met a man who likes candles, and having met probably hundreds of women who do, this is a sexist assumption.

shovetheholly · 22/06/2016 13:07

I've learned that the vast majority of light-hearted threads turn into a bunfight by page 6 Smile

MrsJayy · 22/06/2016 13:11

Page 7 this is going not to bad 😀

ppeatfruit · 22/06/2016 13:18

Apple My dh LOVES candles, he always buys them (mind you he has a tendency to buy everything) I think it's an obsession. I know I know I should LTB Grin

Buttonmoonb4tea · 22/06/2016 13:21

Mumsnet can have you howling at some of the shit people post as opposed to netmums, which is pretty boring. I'm now a convert Smile

Babysafari · 22/06/2016 13:22

Every husband that's a twat is a psychopath/sociopath or has autism. Mumsnetters can diagnose this.

MrsJayy · 22/06/2016 13:24

I hate candles i know i know letting the sisterhood down

MrsJayy · 22/06/2016 13:26

Netmums take themselves far to seriously ime

FlyingElbows · 22/06/2016 13:28

Och,op, you fanny! It's not rude it's affectionate. But don't worry because any second now a mn "feminist" will come along to save us all and tell us silly girls just exactly why we should be mortally offended by the mere existence of the word "fanny". Or indeed any word because on mn absolutely everything is sexist and misogynistic. I'm sure they'll pop over just as soon as they've finished telling everyone on the sex thread how exploited and wrong they are. Honestly, women thinking for themselves and having their own minds? Whatever next?! And do not ever mention that it's possible to fit a whole fiat up your chuff. Grin

Oh and grammar pedant fuckwits. Like fucking cockroaches round these parts. Hmm

FlyingElbows · 22/06/2016 13:30

Oh and you must go nc with everyone over anything and everyone's a narcissist (or whatever buzz word has been on a channel five documentary recently). And you should phone the police to log everything that ever happens. Just incase they haven't got anything to do!

AppleSetsSail · 22/06/2016 13:31

I accept there are some candle outliers amongst us Cake
