To be really annoyed with New Look

I ordered two pairs if shorts for my daughter from New Look online (she alreafy has a pair in black that fit her well) so I ordered a couple of different colours (same style) they have arrived and are completely different sizes to her original pair and to each other! What a waste of time (I thought online shopping was supposed to save us all time!) I am annoyed because she loves new look clothing and we spend a fair bit of money in there and this is not the first time we have noticed a discrepancy in sizing. Ok...rant over Confused

I bought clothes form Asda yesterday and had to try everything on in several sizes. I came away with tops ranging in size between 18 and 24!! Nearly lost the will to live with the traipsing back and forwards to/from the changing rooms

I bought a pair of size 12 trousers in Next. They were so loose they nearly fell down. The 10 was way too small.

That's why I want to actually see things before buying.

I wondered if it could be because one pair was designed to we worn high waisted and the other low on the hips?
But young children and actually some adults don't have a discernible difference between both measurements so maybe not that!

I'm wondering if the wrong label has been stitched into the white pair? That's happened to me twice in two different retailers. What does the inside label say?

The first time was a t-shirt from Primark, both the price tag and label at the top said size 16 but the label at the bottom on one of the seams said otherwise, it was actually a size 10.

The second time it was pair of leggings from River Island, again the label and price tag clearly stated they were a size 16. I couldn't work out why they were so big but it wasn't until the inner leg seams split due to constantly pulling them up, that I found out they were actually a size 18. They weren't cheap either - £15 I think!

cakeninja low-rise shorts do tend to be slightly bigger, but not by that much!

I tried on a long 12 pair of skinny jeans in M&S in one colour and they were too right on the ankle. So I tried the same style but different colour and they fitted. I took a punt buying the colour I really wanted in that style online and they fitted properly. No idea why micro ankle ones were an odd size. YANBU that's a massive difference in your picture but from the labels they look to be different manufacturers.
