Nanny wouldn't get it

I'm sure you'll feel my pain, I wanted Nanny to give me her phone (it was on the shelf), so I could make important phone calls.I have a social life as well Nanny!

However, she refused, as she was 'busy.' As far as I can see cooking a chicken isn't as important as me. That chicken's already roasted, but I'm still here and I have needs that far outweigh a roasted chicken. Time is biscuits Nanny!

WIBU to cry and not talk to her. She's acting all offended, I've told her she's dead to me until I want some sweets.

Well it made me smile OP!

Tribblewithoutacause · 12/06/2016 17:02

Well I'm glad some people have smiled. My bored NCT Mummy friends were most unimpressed, they told me I should be using ethical wooden toys not allowing MIL to expose my child to technology Grin Wink.

Nanny as in grandparent? Ew...that should be banned...😷 #commonasmuck

bakeoffcake · 12/06/2016 17:09

God there's some joy suckers out there!

I thought it was funny OP.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/06/2016 17:12

I had 2 nannies, neither were common as muck.

Anniegetyourgun · 12/06/2016 17:12

Well I'm glad some people have smiled

And just think how happy you've made the miserable sods who wanted something to be rude about. It's win all round innit.

ps Both of DGS's grandmothers are known as Nanny. If a 2-year-old can get his head round it I don't see why it's difficult for people who are old enough to use the internet.

ThePinkOcelot · 12/06/2016 17:14

Have to agree with Martha!!

Pink would you have posted in the same snotty, snobby way that Martha did or are you glad she got in first?

MypocketsarelikeNarnia · 12/06/2016 17:17

But this,

Christ I hate these threads, some bored mummy with too much time on her hands trying to be funny. It's not. You'll look back and cringe that you wrote this tripe.

was the height of comedy and it's just lovely that Martha could take time out of preparing for the Edinburgh Festival to grace us with it.

MypocketsarelikeNarnia · 12/06/2016 17:18

Why do you 'have to agree with Martha'? What the fuck is agreeable about that post?

Tribblewithoutacause · 12/06/2016 17:29

Mouldy there are over seven billion humans on this planet, of which you are one. We're all as common as muck I'm afriad.

OP posts:
IthinkIamsinking · 12/06/2016 17:31

Really not funny on any level Hmm
But hey ho.... some like them.

NationMcKinley · 12/06/2016 17:33

Tribble you made me laugh. Reminds me of when my Mum has my 3 year old Smile

Maybe it's the weather maybe people are miserable as fuck

Just ignore a thread if you don't like it! Hmm

GrimmauldPlace · 12/06/2016 17:35

Have we started using hashtags on mumsnet now?

I thought it was funny, op.

LouisCK · 12/06/2016 17:36

Holy bleeding FUCK.

There is so much sand in so many vaginas on this thread. Stop being so nasty for christ's sake. It proper embarrassing.

TheWeeBabySeamus1 · 12/06/2016 17:37

I thought it was amusing OP Sad.

And my son calls my mum nanny - how exactly is it "common as muck" Mouldy?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 12/06/2016 17:37

Does the 2 year old really have his own phone Shock ?

If it's one of those plastic toy ones, I have a message for you Tribble:
The phone is on a high shelf for a reason, it makes a really annoying repetitive noise and if nanny listens to it all afternoon she might lose the will to live.

IthinkIamsinking · 12/06/2016 17:38

So just because someone finds a post a bit Hmm they are 'miserable as fuck' Nation

I'm happy as fuck today Grin

MypocketsarelikeNarnia · 12/06/2016 17:38

How many levels of funny were you assessing? Can you break them down for us?

NationMcKinley · 12/06/2016 17:39

so much sand in so many vaginas (cries)Grin

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/06/2016 17:39

Ilost - tribble is quite aware of that, it's the 2 year old that isn't.

TheWeeBabySeamus1 · 12/06/2016 17:39

And your DC should just do what my DS does when Nanny comes around and frisk her pockets at the front door so there's no time to put it on a high shelf.

SecretNutellaFix · 12/06/2016 17:40

The dementors descended on this thread didnt they?

Ginslinger · 12/06/2016 17:41

has something leeched into the water? What is the matter with people?
