Nanny wouldn't get it

I'm sure you'll feel my pain, I wanted Nanny to give me her phone (it was on the shelf), so I could make important phone calls.I have a social life as well Nanny!

However, she refused, as she was 'busy.' As far as I can see cooking a chicken isn't as important as me. That chicken's already roasted, but I'm still here and I have needs that far outweigh a roasted chicken. Time is biscuits Nanny!

WIBU to cry and not talk to her. She's acting all offended, I've told her she's dead to me until I want some sweets.

Strange post? wonder how many people are actually making posts to try and get in the daily fail??? I really dont see what was funny about it either.

DetestableHerytike · 12/06/2016 16:37

AIBU is "notoriously hostile" said.. the most hostile poster I've read today!

Isn't it ironic, don'tcha think?

Marthacliffscumbag · 12/06/2016 16:37

I agree bran, in a group called 'we are so unfunny we have to pretend to be 3 to make anyone laugh'
Then adults would know to avoid it like the plague.....

MypocketsarelikeNarnia · 12/06/2016 16:37

Maybe you'd be better off in your own part of the forum?

Flouncers' corner, perhaps?

WellErrr · 12/06/2016 16:39

And Martha, AIBU is not 'notoriously hostile.' It's notoriously blunt. There's a difference.

Posters like YOU are making it into the hostile place it's becoming.

Well done

BranTriLlygaid · 12/06/2016 16:40

Whilst I agree with you, Martha, I don't think there's need to be so aggressive about it. Genuinely think there should be a 'Lighthearted' section though. At least this one's not from the pet's point of view, those really are ott. Or worse, a fictional character from a soap or film Confused.

Marthacliffscumbag · 12/06/2016 16:40

Doubt it wellerr, doubt it.

Fairenuff · 12/06/2016 16:42

I thought you were talking about your nanny (as in childcare) and was very confused for a moment there Confused

BalloonSlayer · 12/06/2016 16:42

"some bored mummy with too much time on her hands trying to be funny"

isn't that what we all are though? Grin

BalloonSlayer · 12/06/2016 16:43

Bran I can't wait for someone to start the next AIBU based on films thread as I have thought of a corker Wink

Groovee · 12/06/2016 16:43

You need to ask for a pear and say it needs cutted up. Then... You tantrum as you didn't want slices or cubes but TRIANGLES!

MypocketsarelikeNarnia · 12/06/2016 16:45

Why does it need to say 'lighthearted' or be in a section marked 'lighthearted'?

Are people so monumentally thick that they couldn't work out what this post is about or so completely fucking arrogant that they can't click on a thread, read it, think 'Nah, not interested' and then (and this is the crucial bit) NOT FUCKING COMMENT?

AGreatBigWorld · 12/06/2016 16:45
Biscuit
Tribblewithoutacause · 12/06/2016 16:46

It was just a stupid little thread, this kind of stuff has been in AIBU before. I posted it on a whim, and there was no more thought on it than 'might be a laugh.'

I'm sorry this doesn't reach everyone's highbrow expectations of MN AIBU. I swear to you from this moment on, I shall not post anything unless it's been peer reviewed by a group of Professors from a Rusell Group Uni. After all, this is mumsnet and we must have standards!

I love cutted up pear. Toddlers are Dante's first circle of hell...

MrsJorahMormont · 12/06/2016 16:47

Poor OP. As someone said, on another day you'd have had a few posters entered into the spirit of it and had a laugh. Also I think the 'nanny' thing confused people at first.

:o at bitchplopping.

Do people really need to be such arseholes if they don't like a thread? You can always just ignore it, instead of looking like a wanker.

I love threads like this. They're a bit of fun on an otherwise dull day. And I love the comments by the miserable sarky caahs, they remind me of how nice and normal I am.

mouldycheesefan · 12/06/2016 16:54

Why is nanny working on a Sunday?

ClashCityRocker · 12/06/2016 16:54

IT made me smile op....although I did initially think it was about a paid nanny, which would have put a different spin on things!

MypocketsarelikeNarnia · 12/06/2016 16:56

I like it when someone pops in to say that their child would NEVER behave like this and that the child in question needs DISCIPLINING.

AndNowItsSeven · 12/06/2016 16:57

Nanny as in grandparent but yes I was confused by the use of nanny!
