She looked fantastic. She certainly stood out infront of everyone! And that colour looked good on her too.

Jeepers! 😁 just seen the pictures. It was very green wasn't it - Good for her! 😁 Aciiid!

I like the Queen. My uncle Freddie shares the same date of birth, and we had a blast at his party back in April - we went to a harvesters for lunch - he thought he was going for a quiet meal with one of his daughters, and loads of us had travelled hundreds of miles to be there - his face was a picture!!

I did mention that I had turned down an invite from the Queen in order to make it, and he went Hmm and offered me another Yorkshire pudding...

I think the sailor suit boy was Albert, eldest child of Lord Nicholas Windsor.
I thought the Queen looked great.

MsJamieFraser well yes of course I am over dramatising, but if that wasn't allowed, AIBU would be a very boring place indeed. And yes, I did consider sunglasses, but opted for another a glass of wine instead Grin

Am I the only one who thought George was trying to climb over the balcony?

I am old enough to remember the hat she wore at her Silver Jubilee celebrations. pauses to search for link

www.google.co.uk/search?q=queen+elizabeth+ii+silver+jubilee&biw=1366&bih=928&prmd=isnv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiq_8SNlaHNAhUiKcAKHVZND1AQ_AUIBigB#imgrc=UecMlYbbkbNLGM%3A

Whatever else you might say about her, you could never say she steered clear of lively outfit choices.

I think her outfit and colour choice was amazing "the TV commentary said that she had previously said something about - being seen to be believed" so imagine you are in the crowd on the Mall and all you see is lots of horses and a bright green dot then you know that you got a photo of the Queen

I wish Camilla and Kate had worn bright colours so that on publics photos they would be easier to spot which spot is which if you just have a cream coloured spots on photo

Also, with Kate picking up Charlotte if she had a bright blue dress on then Charlotte in her pale pink would show up on photo when they are only small dots in distance

That time of year again?

There was a poster here on Friday who did not have enough baby milk formula to feed her baby over the weeken. One poster offered help.

Lizzie could end food poverty in London very easily by selling some of her clothes.

I don't think selling all the queens clothes would end poverty in London. In the U.K. there is no reason for any child to go with out food, if that happened then it may be a out the parents lifestyle.

I had thought it was kermit the frog when I turned the telly on

I liked that green. It was nice to see an old lady not decked out in pastels.

People are homeless, children living in poverty, hospitals need equipment and they wasted money on that.....

She looked awful.

Pity she didn't smile a bit more.. All the lads did a lot of rehearsing for the big event and she didn't look happy for most of the time.

And yes she did look very green,,,

It was a bold choice but I liked it. I wish my mum would jazz it up a bit sometimes - these days she seems to be wearing powder blue and grey constantly. That green was a very cheerful colour.

i loved it and so did my 3 year old every time she appeared on the telly LOOK MOM ITS THE QUEEN!

Report
soundsystem · 12/06/2016 07:27

I can confirm it really was that green (took my mum to the Trooping of the Colour). It was good - meant you could see her from a distance, and as a PP said works for photos. My DM is now happily showing everyone pictures of the small green dot that is the queen, and my 19 month old is pointing and shrieking "queen! green!" Grin
