To be such a hypochondriac? Back pain

I've got a dull but v v uncomfortable ache in my lower back on the right side. I can't get comfortable no matter how I sit, stand or lay.

I'm starting to think about booking a doctors appointment tomorrow but always fear I'm "imagining" it in my head and will be told to take some paracetamol (already have).

I don't know whether it's muscular or potentially a kidney infection but I have also had a flare up of ibs yesterday and had no appetite today.

Argh Confused

Yabu. Back pain is absolute misery and your doctor can assess you to decide if it is an infection, muscular strain or something more serious.

Get an appointment and go. You will not be considered a hypochondriac. In the meantime it's fine to add ibuprofen if you are able to take it. You can also buy low dose paracetamol with codeine if it's really bad.
