to call the police regarding my neighbours

We have a strained relationship with our neighbours. They play music loud until 4am and argue and scream at each other.

It's a hot day and this evening they were arguing, as usual, and we hear slapping and the man shouting 'stop slapping me, stop slapping me you're a lunatic when you've been drinking my kids are upstairs' and bottles smashing. I felt like calling the police was the right thing to do but now I just feel incredibly anxious that they are going to come and start on us now the police have left.

I can't help but feel like I've done the wrong thing.

I think you've done the right thing - I would have done the same

You are definitely NOT unreasonable.. Sounds like a horrible situation & i've had my fair share of anti-social neighbors Flowers

I hope they quieten down. Bad neighbours must be hellish. Do they own or rent ?

WorraLiberty · 04/06/2016 00:34

How will they know it was you who called them?

Are there other neighbours around who could have heard?

Please don't tell me the Police left the two of them in the house, if one is violent?

gunting · 04/06/2016 00:56

I think they own.

Yes the police left them both there. I have no idea why as they were shouting blind drunk at the police and they threatened to arrest them.

We are semi detached from them so there is no one else who would hear. I could hear him telling the police that 'he was coming over to have a word with us tomorrow' Hmm
