to take a toddler to Paris this weekend given the flood threat?

Posting here for traffic (please forgive the duplicate thread in Travel advice which I am asking to be deleted)

We (DH, toddler DS and I) are meant to be going to Paris this weekend.

We are keeping an eye on the news and it looks as though Paris isn't (yet) too badly affected by the floods, but with more rain/storms predicted over the weekend I am wondering if it would be unnecessarily risky to continue with our plans (travelling with a toddler can be complicated at the best of times!) Grin

Anyone over there at the moment or due to go who can help us make a decision?

I live in Paris and there isn't really a risk of flooding. The Seine is over the quays but won't rise much further , it means you can't walk along at river level, and there are no boat trips. The forecast is no more rain but overcast. Most public transport is running normally but some Rer stations along the river are closed, but that shouldn't make much difference to you. There is some flooding in towns to the south but that shouldn't affect you either. I wouldn't see any need to cancel . Hope that reassures you a bit.

Thank you so much LeMesmer, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. We are now really looking forward to our weekend. Very sad seeing the news about the flood affected areas in the south, though.
