To wonder if anyone has truly spat out a drink while reading a thread

What the title says really. Anyone has actually, literally, in real life, spat out their drink while reading Mumsnet?

Now, Mumsnet has had me amused on occasion, granted, I've probably chuckled or snorted audibly a couple of times too.

But I've never 'sprayed my drink all over the keyboard'. Am I missing out?!

Couple of time I have been drinking while reading a thread and ended up laughing so choked and spat it out. Not completely spat it out through laughter. More trying to chuckle with my mouthful.

Most rememberable one was the T-Rex thread, I was reading it at work on my break and sprayed my entire desk area.

No, not spat a drink - but I have genuinely cried laughing at some of the threads on here.

I've just finished working somewhere where I had virtually nothing to do for 18 months (think sitting there for 8 hours a day with incredibly restricted internet access). Then I discovered MN was one of the few sites I could get to.

I made the mistake of starting with classics. Trust me, it's definitely more likely when you can't laugh out loud and the rest of your day has consisted of copyediting one memo!

Thankfully I'm not working there any more!

years ago when i first found mn i did use to laugh till i couldnt breath, threads were alot more light hearted and most ppl were up for a laugh

Never in 4 1/2 years. I have had a bit of a chortle every now and again. Usually when everyone else is losing control of their bodily functions at a thread I am like this .

No, although I have sort of snorted a drink up the back of my nose a couple of times. Not often though. I tend to find things amusing rather than hilarious, although there has been the odd post or thread that's made me laugh out loud.

No, I love my iPad too much o have beverages within spitting distance.

I have cried with laughter at so many threads though.

I rarely laugh out loud at stuff but I have reading some of the threads on mn. I haven't, however 'died laughing'. Ain't nothing that funny!!

I'm easily pleased.

I've seen people sat things like "I am literally shaking with anger on your behalf" or "I feel physically sick because of X you said" and I always think: Are you? What the fuck is wrong with you?

I've woken up a breast feeding baby reading thread too.

I've certainly read threads which made me laugh uncontrollably.

I had a good laugh last night on a thread which is now deleted, all about putting a lime up the fanjo to concieve a girl. Poster replied wth the epic so if you you shove a satsuma up there do you give birth to Peter Andre.
That really did make me laugh but managed to hang on to my wine

ive done this loads while drinking diet coke - it sprays out of my nostrils

I have just realised I've laughed quite uncontrollably at a later date because of something that was said on a thread. I went to see the Jungle Book a couple of weeks ago. Few days previous to that I read about it in the Film section on here and a poster had said something about giggling when Idris Elba as Shea Kahn said 'man-cub'.

So when it came to that bit, I didn't spray my drink but I did do some quite serious muffled laughter, shoulders shaking, followed by a little boar-snort

My DP was most perplexed.

So does that count?!!
