To wonder if anyone has truly spat out a drink while reading a thread

What the title says really. Anyone has actually, literally, in real life, spat out their drink while reading Mumsnet?

Now, Mumsnet has had me amused on occasion, granted, I've probably chuckled or snorted audibly a couple of times too.


But I've never 'sprayed my drink all over the keyboard'. Am I missing out?!

MadamDeathstar, it was your "Least Professional Moments" thread that did it for me.

I laughed so hard for so long my face hurt, my ribs hurt, my stomach hurt.

I was at a very low ebb at the time, and literally hadn't laughed like that for years. It was fabulous.

I have once. Bad combination of things.Being part way through a very funny thread, and having just calmed down from laughing till tears were rolling, took a big breath in, intending to take a sip of tea, swallow, and exhale calmly, then carry on reading once suitably calm. Instead I kept reading over the top of my mug, hit another funny bit, and couldn't stifle the laugh. It was messy.

The worst part is, I can't even remember what was so funny.

I only discovered MN a couple of months ago so I have been catching up on Classics, Penis Beaker being my introduction.

Yes Dear Reader, I have sprayed my keyboard (not through my nose though) and had to invest in more Tenas due to literally PMSL.

Once I start in a silly mood I find it hard to stop laughing.

I haven't spat my drink out but I have been shaking with silent laughter, trying not to honk like a seal at a few threads. It might be because I was skiving off it was a quiet moment at work and everything is funnier when you're not allowed to laugh!
